Mr. Television 12-31-2007, 10:09 PM Fresh Prince Wall-to-Wall Week  not surprised.
JulieSomoski 12-31-2007, 11:53 PM HaHa! I'm shocked at the fact they THINK we want more Fresh Prince-LOL.
Not even gonna say a word on Fresh Prince. But, I can already tell George Lopez will be taking over those wall-to-wall marathons soon. Probably once Family matters comes, George Lopez will be airing from 2am-6am every night. It'll just be another show to overkill.

What's the difference between this and a normal week for N@N?

The only difference is they're giving this week a name-LOL.
Tha Kid eX 01-01-2008, 08:00 AM wow still no roseanne on the regular schedule?..and more garbage fresh prince?!..im so sick of seeing that show air way to much on a daily basis..n@n needs to give the control back to tv land because atleast when they ran it we had some variety...not this bullsh*t
Well, guess we all spoke too soon about FPoBA being over on N@N - LOL

I don't get why Home Improvement isn't getting any marathons if it gets good ratings. I think Fresh Prince will be on until its contract expires, I think some Nick exec just likes that show too much. Maybe the excuse for this marathon is I am Legend will get it high ratings. We may wish for a Fresh Prince marathon when Fresh Prince@Nite becomes Urkel@Nite. Cosby and Roseanne just disappeared of this network, so could Fresh Prince (but probably not anytime soon)

There is no Variety on TV LAND either with Mash and Andy Griffith dominating the schedule

You answered your own question, if HI was doing well it would be getting a marathon but it's obviously not doing as well as George Lopez
peachysquirt21 01-01-2008, 08:29 PM Dear god enough with The Fresh Prince. I am sick to death of them airing this show all the time like there doing. I just cannot get over how down the tubes NAN & TVLand has gone. Both networks suck & need some major revamping. Changing the schedule all the time too is getting sickening. I have never seen a network change there schedule so much as with NAN. I use to love watching these 2 networks but am starting to get tired of both.

Well if I cared I'd rant about FP, but I don't. :p

TV Land is like that with MASH, damm I hate that show
JulieSomoski 01-02-2008, 12:58 PM TV Land is like that with MASH, damm I hate that show
I know, I can't stand MASH either. Aren't they having another marathon of that this weekend?
But still, it doesn't air all the time, and it doesn't air 5 hours each night. TV Land still has great variety in all their shows, even if it is in the morning, afternoons, or latenight. Nick at Nite has NONE ONCE SO EVER!

Solomon, have you seen my thread on this board (general sitcoms) it is abt TVland's "new" original programming show they have coming out? Check out that thread. It makes Friday Night Movies LOOK REAL GOOD.

They have 2 real sorry looking originals coming out . . . that HIgh School Reunion thing, and that Supermodel thing. How could you get any worse than that?

Don't forget about Three's Company and I Love Lucy, those are in overkill on TVLand. I miss the days of the 48 hour marathons and summer marathon blockparty nights. Shows had a chance to be aired either during one of the nightly marathons or 48 hour marathons. At least we are getting a break from Good Times on TVLand. Now, we can only get TVOne to lay off of Martin and Good Times.

Oxygen doesn't do their overkill of Roseanne anymore? I remember back when both N@N and Oxygen would be drunk and high off that show.

Lets not forget that the N is now 24 hours and they are already giving FP major play there. I get the major feeling that Lopez and Family Matters are going to dominate by spring or summer at the latest. While GP is not that great of a show, Constance Marie and Maisela Lusha make for excellent eyecandy

Come on . . . Three's Company never dominated the schedule, and it is currently airing twice a day, in morning slots. At it's prime, it was airing twice a night, at 11pm and in latenight. That is nothing compared to shows like MASH, TAGS, or Good Times, which air many, many more times than that.

I agree maybe on N@N but not on TV Land
JulieSomoski 01-05-2008, 08:53 PM I agree maybe on N@N but not on TV Land
It was the same for Nick at Nite though . . . twice at 11pm, and twice at like 3am. But before Cosby and Cheers came along, that was a lot for Nick at Nite.
Now if TV Land could actually think about showing some of their other shows in GOOD slots, and not just the 4 same tired shows over and over, I couldn't be happier.
Good Times hardly airs anymore, Roseanne. I think it's once or twice a day, in bad timeslots.
Pavan 01-07-2008, 10:44 AM Seinfeld has NOT been bought by Nick at Nite. Only Friends was bought.
As for Three's Company, yes it does well. Why do you think they were low on airplays during its contract from 2000-07? Nick at Nite relied on it A LOT. Everytime a show bombed, like Wings or Coach, it was brought in to bring ratings. Plus while it was airing multiple times on Nick at Nite, TNN also aired it in the daytime for a year or so. It did well on TV Land as well, especially between 11pm-2am. I bet if BH doesn't work 1-2am, it will be back.
Adamantium 01-07-2008, 02:43 PM Everytime a show bombed, like Wings or Coach,
And because of that, I resented "Three's Company" for a while. It wasn't until recently, I was able to get into the show again, via the DVDs and forget about how horrible N@N was to replace "Wings" (my 2nd favorite show) with "Three's Company" (my in the teens favorite show).
The same happened when "Roseanne" replaced "NewsRadio" (my 1st favorite show). I still haven't gotten over that one. Even though I own the Roseanne DVDs, I haven't started watching the show yet.

That's exactly what I thought! I knew the show always did well for Nick at Nite, and I was pretty sure it did well for TV Land. There's TVLtheLink getting his story mixed up again . . .

My point was that it's airing a lot more than other similar shows are, like The Jeffersons, All in the Family, and Three's Company.
