I prefer making my own coffee in the morning. It saves a lot of time and money. I have a couple of co-workers who will buy at leat 2 or 3 cups a day, then whine about not having enough money  I'll treat myself once in a while, but that's it.

Why would anyone want to wake up, get dressed, go out in the cold (as of now), get in their car, drive to a coffee shop and waste gas, stand in a long line, pay $5 for a small cup of coffee.....When you can just wake up, turn on the coffee maker, have as many cups as you want, and save money and time? I'll never understand the people who go to starbucks and all them places everyday. Plus, in your own coffee, you can control the amount of sugars and calories you put in it. At starbucks, you're getting a big mac in a cup.  But i'm like you, i'll treat myself once in a long time. I've just never been keen on the long lines at coffee shops.

I both buy and make my own. There is a Starbucks on my way to work, so I tend to stop in there on my way on many mornings.

I don't like coffee myself. My sister, on the other hand, is a coffee freak!!

am I the only person who gets nauseated by the smell of brewing coffee?

I'm glad I never got myself so hooked on coffee to where I need it everyday. In fact, caffeine doesn't really affect me. I can drink coffee at 9:00 at night and still go to sleep later.

I have no idea. Of course, some people when then get really wasted don't care what they are drinking as long as its alcohol. I'm not a big drinker of beer or any other type of alcohol myself.

I love coffee and I fix my own. Every once in a while I'll buy some, but I usually prefer my own.

I do both; if pressed for time I generally buy coffee.

Depends on what I feel like doing. I mostly just buy it from Starbucks or school cuz I like their mochas. The coffee at work is too strong and even with cocoa powder it still doesn't taste as good.

I brew my own pot of coffee each morning, but I will buy a cup out every once in a great while. :)

I'm coming up on having been a coffee drinker for 18 years. That's right... started drinking coffee when I was a lil kid. (about 4 to 5 years old) For as long as I can remember, I have ALWAYS loved the smell of coffee brewing. I buy quite a lot of coffee to make at home.

(speaking of, does anyone here remember three years ago, when Janice and her husband spied a sale on coffee at their store? They ended up buying like 40 cans of coffee for REALLY cheap. I'd have to go find that thread... it was hilarious. Karly was asking Janice to adopt her. )

Coffee is getting pretty expensive now, though... in some stores here, it can cost up to $10 (w/ taxes) for the biggest can of ground coffee... that applies to store-brand, too. :( Weirdly enough, I've found the lowest-priced coffee at the most expensive supermarket here in town.

So... to answer the question. I always make coffee at home. But occasionally I will buy coffee when I'm out and about. There is a Starbucks where I work, so if it's open when I get there, I'll buy some. :)

EDIT: I found the thread. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=124258&highlight=coffee

I like the aroma of coffee, too, even though I don't drink it.
I like tea, though.

When I'm out I almost always have to drop by Tim Horton's for an extra-large (I'm addicted to the stuff). You can buy it for home which I do, but it's never quite the same so usually will only have home brew when I'm entertaining.

I can't stand Starbucks - it's WAAAAY over priced and tastes burnt. I do like their frappacino's though and will even buy the bottled version for home. (Tastes like melted chocolate popsicles!) ;)

Yeah, the Starbucks coffee in a can tastes like burnt toast! I wasted 3 bucks on that can too :o
