One thing I have always wondered is what makes Price's theme such a classic. What do you guys think?

View Full Version : What is it about Price's theme? TPIRfan333 12-29-2007, 10:55 PM One thing I have always wondered is what makes Price's theme such a classic. What do you guys think? Janice 02-23-2008, 07:26 PM It's catchy, upbeat and performed well, by who knows, but it sounds good. I think what makes it a true classic is that we can all relate to it, from years gone by. It conjures up memories of our childhood, teen years or whatever. There's a sentimental component to the theme song, as it taps into our emotions. Ireneparalegal 02-23-2008, 07:32 PM I would certainly hate it if the theme were changed. It is timeless and like Janice said, it conjures up memories. Some things on TPIR have changed for the better, but the theme should never change. I think we can all agree that is something we can get irked over should that happen. Jude The Obscure 02-24-2008, 01:32 AM I love that I have on my computer both the original come on down intro music and the come on down/you won the price bid music--I miss hearing those on the shows (and yes, I'm THAT old) friendsfan77 02-24-2008, 01:37 AM I love it too. I actually kinda like the version used nowadays a bit better. It's a bit more dance/clap friendly. I'm glad Fremantle just updated the song and didn't change it completely. That theme is a classic and is synonymous with the show. My uncle has it as a ringtone on his cell phone. I want it on mine too. |
