Freddie Prinze was George's idol. He still is. He comments now and then how Freddie Prinze opened the doors for people like George.

He was born in 1961. That makes him 46.

Well that means his age didn't match his comment about CATM because he would have been in 8th grade when CATM premeired in 74 and would not have been taking a lunchbox to school at 13-lol Would he??

Technically, no. Of course George probably just shuffled around with the characters age to fit whatever comment he made. I get annoyed when I notice things like that.

Well, it wouldn't make sense. I can see George holding on to a CATM lunchbox after all those years, but not a t-shirt.

That is a neat reference. I have no idea if they had CATM lunchboxes back then. I do know G Lo is my age so yeah he would've been too old for a lunchbox back then lol. I am so glad he loves Freddie too... :)

8th grade is not too old for a lunchbox?-lol

I'm just thrilled that George paid a much deserved tribute to Freddie Prinze in some small way. George is a loyal fan like the rest of us. I appreicate his efforts to help keep Freddie's memory alive.

:p :D :)

I remember the CATM lunchboxes. I haven't seen one available online but there are many retro lunchboxes like Petticoat Junction, Family Affair, Scooby Doo, etc.

I would've loved to have a CATM lunchbox! I don't remember ever seeing one, though. In the early 70's, I had one of those stupid "school bus" lunch boxes with the Disney characters.

I wanted a Monkees lunchbox but never got one for some reason. I'd love a CATM lunchbox if one were out. I still have my old Peanuts lunchbox...

it sounds like it was no such thing as a CATM lunchbox from some of the responses from you who were in grade school in the mid 70's. It looked the line by George was just put it in the script for a laugh

My kids still take lunchboxes to school--mostly for economic reasons--and one is in 10th grade. George would probably have had alot more of those issues growing up than we do--even when my hubby was out of work for 7 months!

I don't remember either that there actually WAS a CATM lunchbox, and I am older than George LOL!
