Well, I'll try to continue my resolution from last year and that was to lose some weight. I've lost 44 lbs in the past year. Other than that, I don't know. I don't smoke. Oh, maybe resolve to get my cluttered bedroom finally cleaned out!!

Nothing. I never actively change things. I'll still be the same annoying human in a year that I am now because I'm comfortable. My psyche likes comfortable; the people around me hate me for that. So I suppose I'll be short a few people in the coming year.

I noticed a lot of you chose for a resolution to lose weight, and that has always been my resolution, and finally i was able to do something about it lol. I HATE walking on treadmills, it is tiring and boring, but i mostly hated it because it is boring. I have a portable DVD player, and a collection of my favorite tv sitcoms and movies, and some ear buds..And I have a convenient slot on my treadmill that i can slip the dvd player in securely with a few towels wrapped around it. It made such a difference about walking on that treadmill, lol. I lost 10 lbs so far doing this, i been doing this for like 3 months now. The thing is you are so interested in what you're watching, you don't really pay attention to time or being bored. So for anyone wanting to lose weight, you should try this (if you have a treadmill at home or at a gym). It'll help you stick to it when you look forward to watching your favorite tv shows along with it ;)

junecleaver

and also, quit paying attention to the scale. I've found that i've lost only 10 lbs, but when i put on pants, they are loose, and my boobs are smaller too, which is what i wanted, as i gain a little more weight on my chest area. So dont be sad if the scale says you haven't lost but 1 pound, just look at your body, you may have just lost fat and converted it to muscle, which is heavy but wayyyyy better than fat.

Try to eat healthier and drink more fluids. I've posted before that I've struggled with anorexia in the past, but sometimes it is still a struggle. I need to develop better eating habits, and get more fluids in my system because I was slightly dehydrated when I visited the doctor last week. So, there you have it.

A year ago I had a huge crush on a girl who was eight years older than me and I was afraid that was too much of an age difference. A student falling for a professor who they really admire is certainly not unheard of.

I vow not to buy myself any more books until I have gone through that huge pile of unread books that have built up on my bookshelf. I also resolve to start getting books from the library or a friend instead of visiting the bookstore.

I also resolve to eat better and get into shape.

I plan to volunteer more in my church and community in my free time.

I pledge to stop spending so much money on things I really don't need.

I plan to find a new hobby or two.

Those are all great resolutions, Kristen. I am reading a book now and have five waiting to be read. Not to mention a sixth on order. So I should really read those six before I buy any new ones.

I've put on way too much weigh this year. I am now at 195, which isn't terrible since I'm 6 feet tall, but it certainly isn't good.

I hope to volunteer at my church this year as well.

I'm always on the lookout for a new hobby.

Good luck with your resolutions, Kristen. :)

I put it off for a long time because I was afraid to drive. But I finally went to a terrific driving school through my old community college, and finally got my license in January 2005. I took the road test three times before I finally passed on the fourth try. (I kept knocking a cone over.) Nearly 3 years later, I've driven in all kinds of weather and conditions, and I feel like an old pro now. I just wish I'd gotten it sooner, but oh well. :D

Yeah, I was pretty afraid too. I first took the exam as part of driver's education in high school, but I failed. I then took it a second time in September 1994 and failed again. A week later I took the test a third time and finally passed. If I'm not mistaken, I had to take the written test twice.

to draw more- i haven't done as much drawing in my spare time as i'd usually do but i want to get better and better with practice

to read more books- particuarly on philosophy and anthropology, i want to enhance my knowledge and understanding in these areas

i also aim to get a bike, so therefore i wouldn't have to rely on using public transport all the time because it is very costly
