It's a couple of days early, but I won't be online Saturday or for several days thereafter, so allow me to start the birthday wishes for Saturday December 29 for Ted Danson on his 60th! He was only 34 when he snagged the defining role of his career. He may have been typecast - but there are worse things to have been known for than defining Sam "Mayday" Malone for 11 terrific seasons. So happy 60th, Ted, and know that you gave pop culture at least 1 unforgettable character.
