As a collector of holiday themed sitcom episodes with over 500 in my collection, I'm afraid I think the partridge episode is one of the worst in the series, nothing fuzzy and warm, nothing funny....horrible episode and I'm a big fan of the series....a missed opportunity for a nice family christmas.

Hi there sweetie!

I have to agree, of all the Christmas-themed episodes, this one stinks. I had totally forgotten abt this episode (see, that's how bad it is). PF airs on my local station but I don't always get a chance to watch it. Keith is so annoying in this episode, THAT I remember.

I actually enjoy this Christmas episode a lot, mainly because the Partridge Family didn't do very many "fantasy" sequences and the story was humorous and whimsical. It was also a rare SECOND SEASON episode that featured the family "on the road" (with their bus breaking down in a ghost town), Dean Jagger turned in a nice performance as the hospitable old-timer and the holiday sentiment is handled nicely.

According to interviews in the book THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY ALBUM, this episode is among the favorites of most of the cast members as well.

^ I thought it was kind of cute, it was certianly different. I thought Reuben made an excellent bad guy.

And how can you not love the quote:

"Mean Sidney stole our bell, Belle"

"What's a bell bell, Belle?"

"I guess I'll lick my lolly later!"
