I always laughed when Edith swore, or even tried to be mean, because she was always great at being nice.

She also went there when she took the phone from Archie when the plumber who was an ex con came to fix the plumbling. Archie was not happy with him being in the house so he was going to call the plumbing company to get another one. They were tussling for the phone and she took it from him then said damnit. That was great. Archie was dumbfounded.

Archie gets dumbfounded everytime Edith stands up to him. When she went off on him in the Fair Fighting episode and he was dumbstruck by her challenging his authority. That was best I've seen Edith standing up to Archie.

I agree with you. It was totally hilarious.

I'd have to agree...after getting over the initial shock that Edith actually said those types of words to Archie, I could and I do watch those over and over...they never get old.

At least when she said them there wasn't a person alive who didn't immediately know she meant what she said and you were crazy if you kept right on with her after that...

And then there was the one time (the only one I can recall) when she actually slapped him. It was when she caught him placing a bet over the phone.

I loved it when she got really mad at Archie and yelled "STIFLE!" I can't remember why she got so mad, but the look on his face was priceless! :lol:
