Too Close for Comfort is absolutely hilarious and is one of the top 3 or 4 sitoms of ALL TIME!! Ted Knight and Jm J. Bullock just had a great chemistry together and many of the storylines are just exceptionally done and a riot!!
It's too bad not many people these days have heard of this show and it's not on TV Land or Nick at Nite because it SHOULD be!!

Well, time, ratings, how many people remember something fondly and sales determine whats an all-time great TV show and, while it may be one of your faves, it doesnt really qualify as top 3 or even close to it, in most people's minds. I liked it, but, the show fell apart when the girls left.

Wow, I didn't even know that. When was TCFC on E! ??
As far as the chemistry of the relationship between characters, the perfect casting of actors, and hilarious plotlines go this is one of the best ever. The only sitcoms that really had just as good or better chemistry were Fresh Prince, Jeffersons, and Three's Company.
I didn't even KNOW that the girls left but that was only for the last season, right? Then unfortunately Ted Knight died. Who did they bring in to replace the girls? It was a stupid move to get rid of the girls since they were a big part of the show.
I can't wait till season 3 come out!!

For some reason, some great classic shows just don't catch on in reruns like others do. Too Close for Comfort, Family Ties, Alice, and Diff'rent Stokes, and are all great shows that had millions of fans in their and are still great shows the first time you see them yet they just haven't caught on in reruns like other shows have.

I've been searching and hope you're right about S3 coming out. I read at Wikipedia (but anybody can post there) that Rhino Entertainment no longer has the rights, it's believed. I would like to get season 3 onward. Anyone know of a private seller ? At least we have the first 2 DVD sets out.
thanks
