View Full Version : Is it really a MERRYTHON if TV Land is airing 6 episodes of.....
TVFactFan 12-25-2007, 01:13 PM Sanford and Son that are NOT Christmas episodes-lol
S&S only had ONE christmas ep and it's on right now. But later today from 5pm to 8pm, there will be 6 NON-Christmas eps of Sanford and Son and this is a Merrython?? Great Way to close out the Year
TV land-lol

You're kidding me-LOL. Maybe they think if they include six non-Christmas episodes of Sanford and Son and call it a Merrython, nobody will notice-LOL

You would think they would fill those slots with additional christmas eps of the Brady Bunch or Jeffersons or any other show with more than one christmas ep
BensonFan 12-25-2007, 01:26 PM I thought the Merrython was supposed to be ending kind of early today...maybe those S&S episodes are part of some regular programming thing and not really meant to be part of the Merrython?

Yeah, there were a lot of great Jefferson's episodes that TV Land isn't airing.

I really don't like the Christmas Wedding episode of the Jeffersons

Ok maybe that's it but that brings us to another question, why end the merrython at 5pm instead of 12am-lol

Well just remember who we're talking about here.

No, not a favorite of mine either. I actually like the ones from the later seasons the best. The episode they aired one of those Thursdays was good, where George promises every kid at the center they'll get what they want, and the season 4 episode "984 W. 124th Street, Apt. 5C"

I like the Christmas ep when the OLD MAN BUDDY comes to visit with ZEKE who was Woody from Sanford and Son

Yeah, wasn't that the season 5 episode?
TVFactFan 12-25-2007, 01:55 PM Yeah, wasn't that the season 5 episode?
Yeah it comes on at 2pm today, the ep when George was slapped-lol
Dean Winchester 12-25-2007, 02:50 PM why can't TV Land license usage of certain episodes of shows for one time only? The only times TV Land is bearable these days is when they occasionally pull a show out that they never air elsewhere. What "present" is six Sanford And Son episodes when S&S airs every day anyways?

Just lets you know that S&S is one of their Hit Shows
Pavan 12-25-2007, 03:26 PM The Merry-thon started yesterday at 5pm and ends today at 5pm. "24-Hour Merry-thon," that is the title of this stunt. They had another 24-Hour Merry-thon earlier this month, which was similar, but not totally the same as this one.

I liked the first Merrython in December a lot better. Way more variety, and a better choice of episodes.

That's why I wish I had the chance to see the first three Merry-thons so badly. They seemed to feature some really awesome stuff. The only time I'm really watching TVLand and thoroughly enjoying myself for hours on end nowadays is when they either have a marathon of a rarely seen show or one rarely seen show.
