Can anyone take a guess at what year this picture was taken? Looking back at even the first Honeymooner episodes Jackie did not appear THAT thin.. so I'm trying to figure out if it was 1949-50 maybe? Or maybe he was that thin during the Honeymooners.. Maybe he wore padding in the beginning? I don't know.

May've been 1950-51, pre-Honeymooners. Remember, he pretty much looked like that during his time hosting Cavalcade of Stars on DuMont. Furthermore, I'm not sure (can't tell from the angle), but it looks like the other guy could be Frank Sinatra.

Oh yes that's Sinatra! That's the biggest reason I even saved this picture :D
Thanks for your answer.

The Sinatra Family has a webpage that has a chatboard that I go to quite a bit (but hardly if ever post) but if no one here can figure out where and when the picture is from, you may want to try it there! Nancy Sinatra is the moderator and is very involved with the board so you may get an answer from her posted on the board .... or a private message or email! You never know!!!! Here's a link to the forum but make sure you check out the entire webpage if you haven't before, it's pretty neat I think! Plus there is a great picture of the postage stamp being released next year in honor of Frank!

Okay, it's 1951! Thanks WB!
I was looking through some pictures and saw Jackie by the exact same car and looking just like that. The date was 1951.

Benno -since it was released this month- did you get any? They look amazing but man are they hard to get ahold of! ALL the post offices here sold out almost immediately. Went to every post office only to hear "We had a million (yes a million) sheets and they've sold out!"
Finally had to order them online! They have some cool stuff - even bought some of those Sinatra bubble mailers

I remember reading somewhere, that Sinatra and Gleason attended the 1951 Giants-Dodgers playoff game, when Bobby Thompson hit the shot heard round the world.
