It's me. I took a long break from the boards to concentrate on my school work. I did read my birthday thread. I have been insanely busy the last semester.

I had a class where I had to watch an average of 2-3 movies a week outside of class. In addition to that, I had to shoot over 100 photos for two projects. Add a final paper and three other small projects, and several tests and I had the most time-consuming class I've ever taken. I found out I got an A-.

My favorite class was my TV drama writing class. My professor wrote 11 episodes of Touched by an Angel and was a producer for that show. She also worked on Alien Nation and Beverly Hills 90210. She also brought in a guest speaker last October, Kenneth Johnson (creator of The Bionic Woman, The Incredible Hulk, V, and Alien Nation). I spent all semester developing and writing a spec script for Cold Case and it was a helluvalot of fun. I plan on becoming a writer for television with a concentration in TV drama.

My third class was Film Music. It was a fun class. The professor is a Hollywood studio musician. He showed us numerous clips from movies ranging from The Jazz Singer and Bride of Frankenstein to Twister and Titanic. We also listened to numerous film scores.

My fourth class was probably the worst class in my major I'll ever take at Cal State Fullerton. It was Interactive Entertainment. The original professor was the one who got this class put into the curriculum and he was scheduled to teach. However, a week before classes were to start, he had to take a leave of absence because he was to direct a movie. Several German backers put up over a million dollars for this movie. If you put up so much money wouldn't you want to see any returns from it? The professor in his stead left a lot to be desired. I learned very little. The only saving grace was that I got to play video games for papers and that I am now a little hooked on World of Warcraft (we were supposed to play against USC but they backed out).

Next semester promises to be another busy one. I will be taking screenwriting, intro to film production (shooting on 16 mm film), contemporary American cinema, and American Character. I am really looking forward to my screenwriting class because the professor has worked with director David Lynch since the early 1990s (I think he started either on Twin Peaks or Wild at Heart). He's very laid back and cool.

Finally, my parents are moving next month. We're packing everything up and heading about thirty minutes north to Escondido. I've been deprived of my TV DVDs (they've been boxed away) and I left my games at my dorm but I'll live. Hopefully that will leave me more time to post here.

That's cool. I'm not a fan of David Lynch, but it is cool still the same. :)

It's so nice you could stop by, Brian. I often wonder how you're doing, and it seems that you're doing just fine, and busy. Busy is good, lol. My husband loves David Lynch's movies. They're usually a little far out for me, but that's really something about your soon-to-be professor.
