View Full Version : 7th Heaven, Touched by an Angel, or Little House on the Prairie? icecream 12-21-2007, 04:42 PM 7th Heaven is 1st and Touched by an Angel 2nd. Little House is a distant 3rd. tv star collector 12-21-2007, 05:16 PM I liked all three shows, but I voted for LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE. LITTLE HOUSE began two years after THE WALTONS (which I haven't seen) and ran for nine seasons; TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL also ran for nine seasons; and 7TH HEAVEN ran for ten seasons. All were good family dramas. One could also add to the list these shows: HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN, DR. QUINN MEDICINE WOMAN and the current LIFE IS WILD. Those are also good shows for and about families. mstewart 12-21-2007, 05:22 PM I liked Little House on the Prairie. They stayed true to the premise. Did not watched Touched by An Angel and 7th Heaven wore its welcome out. Here is another good family show and was underrated was Promised Land with Gerald McRaney. That was great show and was given a fair shake. catlover79 12-21-2007, 05:33 PM Little House!! I grew up watching the reruns and read the books. I never watched 7th Heaven and Touched by an Angel. I also happen to know LHOP's Grace Ingalls twins, Brenda and Wendi Turnbaugh, and am good friends with them - so I admit I'm a bit biased. freshprinceofLA 12-21-2007, 05:40 PM Little house Michael Landon was great on the show as were the others, eh touched by an angel was ok and I hated 7th heaven friendsfan77 12-21-2007, 05:45 PM I'm not a fan of any of them but maybe Little House on the Prairie. Touched by an Angel I thought was ok. I can't stand 7th Heaven and thought that really wore its welcome out. They're two of the sweetest, most down-to-earth people you could imagine. :D JT 12-22-2007, 12:31 AM Little House, no doubt. I grew up on the TBS reruns. My mother and alllll of her siblings were big fans during its original run, and somehow, me and all of my cousins got brought up on it too. We've always considered it an extension of "the stories" from daytime. Nighthawk76 12-22-2007, 12:42 AM Little House!! I grew up watching the reruns and read the books. Back then I was actually a pretty poor reader-way below average reading skills. A teacher who assisted children with LD problelms organized a group of students who were special cases. There were four of us and we met on Tuesdays and Thursdays before school during fifth grade. One of the books we read was a Little House book. The program did me some good because in sixth grade I started making the honor roll, got some of my best grades in reading and nowdays my reading skills are much higher than most people's. Not too bad for a kid who was considered a "special case" back in 1987. :) catlover79 12-22-2007, 01:18 AM ^ That's such a sweet story, Mike. :D The entire series is now on DVD, so you should check it out one of these days. Here are pictures of Brenda and Wendi, from their website (http://wendiandbrenda.com), then and now: Nighthawk76 12-22-2007, 01:21 AM ^ That's such a sweet story, Mike. :D The entire series is now on DVD, so you should check it out one of these days. It's really cool that you know her. :) catlover79 12-22-2007, 01:22 AM That's your friend Brenda, huh? It's really cool that you know her. :) That's her!! It was awesome visiting her in CA this past summer. We had the most terrific time!! :D JT 12-22-2007, 02:07 AM I love the recent pic of Wendi and Brenda. They look genuinely happy. As a matter of fact, all of the LHOTPers look really happy and gracious in the pictures from all of the fan events. I saw a picture of Charlotte Stewart (Miss Beadle) not too long ago and she looks great! catlover79 12-22-2007, 01:53 PM Here are some more recent pics of the LHOP gang. I actually went to this event!! :D http://www.zunshine.com/littlehouse/tombstonepics.html KurtfromPitts 12-22-2007, 02:39 PM I chose TBAA, though I've been watching Seventh Heaven lately.
