Former child star Jason Bateman has warned his Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium co-star Zach Mills to quit Hollywood - before it's too late.

The Arrested Development star, who turned to alcohol and drugs in his 20s after finding fame as a teenager, is only too aware of the dangers of child fame. And he is concerned 11-year-old Mills may suffer a similar fate to him.

He says, "If I were to give him any sort of advice it would be to get the hell out of the business."

oh, for some reason I thought this was going to be directed toward Michael Cera. After the success of Superbad and the acclaim Juno's getting, Cera would just laugh in Bateman's face

I was thinking the same thing when I read the thread title. I thought, Michael's career is going gang-busters!!! I don't know anything about Zach Mills, I must confess.

I didn't know that Jason had some problems in his teens. Seems like he had been constantly working, but I'm glad that he's well enough now to help others not go down the wrong path.
I just watched the "50 Cutest Child Stars" on "E" today and they mentioned a lot of celebs that had gotten into trouble but they only talked about Jason's success in films and on AE since leaving "The Hogan Family"

Well, to be fair, Cera hit his fame stride at any older age than Mills did (would?).

I imagine Bateman was talking about "kids" in Hollywood; I don't think Cera qualifies anymore.
