This was the episode that aired Monday at 7:00 PM.

I have to say that it was rather interesting to finally see a post-Flo episode. I can certainly say that I miss the character after seeing an episode without her.

I must say that with Monday's episodes the editing was rather obvious. With this episode, Mel fired everyone when they said they wouldn't work on Christmas Eve, yet it wasn't shown. And after seeing the show for a while now, it just seemed so obvious that that scene was edited out. It doesn't make sense for Mel to do that off-screen.

Golden Girls fans may recognize guest star Jack Gilford (Jake, the Marley-like man) as the guy Sophia married on "Sophia's Wedding."

I must also say that this is probably the 12th series that I have seen that has parodied A Christmas Carol.

It was a good episode, I think. The effects were so cheesy and early 1980s lol, but I liked it. I haven't seen a post-Flo episode since the show was on TNN in around 2000, so it was a treat to see Jolene again. I might be one of the few who really liked her lol. Now I can't wait to see Belle again.

Shallow moment...I forgot how TALL Tommy got in the later episodes. I'm watching the 1983 Xmas episode right now and in the opening, he towers above Alice. Not only did he get really really tall, but he got really really hot as well. I always did have a little crush on him back in the day lol...

When I was a kid watching the reruns, most of the episodes I saw were with Jolene. My mom would talk about Flo and say "kiss my grits" and I had no idea what she was talking about!!

Before seeing full episodes of Alice I had first seen him on a teen week episode of Celebrity Hot Potato... and by then I thought that he had gotten really cute by then too.

I loved Jolene. She fitted perfectly on that show. She was different, except she had that twang like Flo. But other than that, she held her own.

Jolene came on board when the show was starting to show its age. Plus the whole mess with Linda Lavin and Polly Holliday then with Diane Ladd left a scar with the show. The fifth and the sixth season were still good but in the seventh season the show was starting to get tired. Then Linda Lavin looked as though her heart wasn't in it as much because there were less you saw her in episodes in the 8th and final season of the show.
