Former wrestling star Hulk Hogan has ignited a war of words with actress/talk show host Rosie O'donnell - calling on her to "shut her big mouth".

Hogan was promoting new show American Gladiators at a press conference on Thursday when he was asked which celebrity he would most like to see challenged by the series' muscle-bound competitors.

He told reporters, "Without a doubt Rosie O'Donnell. Somebody needs to shut that big mouth up."

O'Donnell, however, was quick to respond on her blog, writing, "Hulk Hogan, the wrestler guy, wants to pummel me. Isn't that sweet, and wildly odd."

She then likened the star's vendetta to that of U.S. property mogul Donald Trump, with whom she had a public feud earlier this year: "It's like a gang of gross guys, a club almost, old, dumb, white and on TV."

i think that with rosie nothing she does and says surprises us any more

I'm not a Rosie fan, but Hogan did take the first shot, pardon the pun, lol. That's what Rosie does to people though, says lousy things first...so she's getting what she usually gives. I think these people, in this case Hogan, say these stupid things for the publicity.

Hogan should concentrate on his pending divorce and the $$$ he is going to have to shell out.

I don't care for either Rosie or Hulk, but I will add my two cents and say I do feel sorry for Hulk. I saw a few eps here and there of his reality show and his wife Linda always struck me somewhat as an uptight bitch, so to hear the way she just left Hulk with no warning or sign after 20+ years of marriage didn;'t really surprise me because I always thought she was only staying with Hulk for the money and that she truly felt she deserved better than him.
