Pop icon Cher has sparked fears for her health after she was struck down with a mystery stomach illness. The star is suffering from unidentified stomach problems, and is currently being treated by a specialist in Europe to help cure the ailment.
Cher was forced to cancel a scheduled appearance as a headline act at an event in Los Angeles as a result, reports the New York Post.

Wow, I hope it's nothing serious, but going to Europe for treatment is not a good sign. Cher's a sweetheart. Sometimes it's hard to get a diagnosis with certain people. I read Gilda Radner's book, It's Always Something. She and her husband Gene Wilder traveled far and wide for a year, trying to find the cause of her feeling ill. By the time she got her diagnosis of ovarian cancer, she was in a Stage 3 (of 4). Very sad. When she wrote the book, she was in remission and thought she had beat it.
I guess Farah Fawcett's not doing well. These are tough years for people, as they enter their 50s and 60s. I know anyone can get sick at any age. You can be born sick. It's just that the risk factor goes up for just about every disease, with every birthday. Also, and I hope this isn't the case, Cher could know what's going on, and has traveled to Europe because they can't cure her here. Many celebs, many non celebs, keep their serious diseases quiet. Ever notice how you'll read that a celeb is dying or died, and think to yourself that it's the first you're hearing about it, when in reality, they've known for a long time.
OH Nuts!

I hope it all works out too, I adore her. I've been a fan since I was just a kid watching the Sonny and Cher show, and everything since then. I know she's not young even though she still looks it, I think she's 60 now isn't she? And that's the age when things start breaking down, so to speak. :( It's hard to hear this about her because she's one of those people (and Tina Turner) that after all she's been through you just sort of expected would be the same as she's always been forever.
Feel better Cher!
