wildlele 12-10-2007, 07:48 PM Has anyone had any experience with videotradeblog? I've sent him money for a facts of life set, however I have not heard from him for the last four days (no logins). Just wondering if anyone else has pending trades. Thanks!
*edit - updated note from robyrob: videotradeblog got a little ahead of himself in making too many trades at once and got behind in getting everything out to everyone, but to my knowledge he has made good on all trades as you can see by reading all the feedback in this thread.

savageamusement 12-11-2007, 06:10 AM Although he is not a user on my site, i have heard complaints from 2 users that are.
I contacted him to help resolve the issue, and no reply was given to either email.
My suggestion is for any future users, to only send via paypal, which is insurable-
and if you paid any funds that to offer refunds or insurance, to use that option.
Paypal in example, if the seller can not show proof of sending, will refund your money, most often within 48 hours.

Wildlele-I hope you either get your money back or the items you purchased. Thankfully, I only did a small trade. I'm only out 20 discs and 5.00 shipping. Hopefully he will make good on all outstanding trades.

and while their name/email isn't on the bad trader or scammer list-
the fact that he has given all of you different names, raises a great deal of suspicions.
Maybe everyone needs to compare notes- and as well, take the info to the owner of this site, so that this user is banned or suspended, until everything is resolved - so no furthor damage can be done?

savageamusement 12-13-2007, 07:19 PM Well, in any situation you feel you need to speak to a moderator for Sitcoms- you will find if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, the moderators are always listed- and if you click on their name, you can contact them easily.
In example, trading forum you scroll down and Tj is listed, as well as RobyRob
If you were to have a problem in the Chit chat area, I think it is Tj and Janice for another example.
And the moderator is pretty much always where you want to start.
Remember, if you choose to buy, just as trading, run a check. And really, if possible don't use western union. A check from your own bank, or paypal are the top choices although neither guarauntee your money back, its better as an option.

I have just replied to an email but I wanted to reply to you here personally. I haven't been on this site in about a week or so since I've been behind in some trading and wanted to take a break from future trades but I have been responding to all email with the exception of email from the past 3-4 days, and I am working on resolving that too.

pupil1313 12-13-2007, 07:47 PM I traded with videotradeblog 3X this month, and they all went great! He sent me blanks for all 3 trades, and they arrive 1 day after he ordered them. He ordered from Staples, and the store a couple of miles from us delivered the packages in just 1 day!

Benny JR 12-13-2007, 07:52 PM Hi all, I sent him money for DVD's of Married ...With Children. He didn't email me for days and I was indeed getting suspicious. However, just a few minutes ago, I checked my emails and he responded! He told me the discs are out and apologised for not replying for so long. So, I take it he means it and I am hoping the discs are on their way to me. He did give reasonable explainations to me though as he is busy working and the fact that he had to have his wife pick up the money becuase he was busy only adds to the reasonability of it all. Plus, he told me it would take a week to copy my discs since he was busy in work. So, that week has passed and now it has been confirmed the discs have been sent to me. Which means, I should have them by tomorrow or either Monday or Tuesday next week. Once I do get the discs, I will let you know what they are like.

As an update, I have replied to everyone via PM that has PMed me up to this date (12/13, at 5:40pm central).
I will make regular updates to this thread, and via PM as I work to get everyone their items.
I have just prepared a list of trades I've done recently and where I stand and will be forwarding it to a moderator here within minutes. There are only a few people outstanding from my list of about 20-30 trades within the last few weeks. I've gone out of town twice recently or this would've been dealt with sooner but everyone has my full cooperation.
robyrob 12-13-2007, 07:53 PM well, as we all know sometimes stuff comes up and its easy to get behind or sidetracked and sometimes stuff just goes wrong, it happens.
in this case, I am hoping that it is just a matter of somone just taking on too much at once and getting into trouble without any malicious intent.
I have asked videotradeblog to contact everyone that he has ongoing trades with and let them know the status of their trade and what steps he is doing to resolve all of this ASAP.
please keep me informed as to the status of this situation and if there are any further problems, thank you.

I actually thought of another way to resolve this if the original poster still wants the "FOL" discs but is just wary of dealing with me. I hate to see them go to waste.
He is in Canada. There is no way (I am aware of) to overnight him any mail. Even if there was, I'm sure it would be extremely prohibitably expensive. I've got a pretty good set of these discs. Some I recorded myself with A+ quality from Hallmark Channel unlike a couple sets I traded for. I believe he'd be happy with them.
I have already refunded him via Paypal, but if he would agree to some moderator intervention, would any moderators from the US be willing to accept an "Express Mail" package containing the discs? That way, they could act as an in-between and let them know they've been received. I could provide the moderator with the additional funds to mail the discs to Canada via "Priority International Mail" (about $10).
Any thoughts on this plan or not a good idea and I should just try to get the set to someone else? I wish the original poster had emailed me directly. I have been totally away from Sitcoms Online a little longer than I have been totally away from email (just a few days) and we probably could've resolved this.

Communication is the best key to working things out-
I am usually the one who updates all the bad trader lists- and due to so many complaints so quickly, you had been added- as a precaution for suspcious behavior- please understand that once this is remedied I will of course adjust that- and that under most circumstances, this was a precursor to larger issues.
Coming here, posting and communicating the difficulties is the first step to ammending all this confusion, and I know everyone appreciates it.
No contact is the worst in cases like this.

wildlele 12-14-2007, 09:20 AM I think we should be good, videotradeblog will be sending me the discs and he has been in constant communication. It looks like I jumped the gun and it was while he was out of town which made communication impossible. Hopefully we can clear everything up quickly and get back to watching and trading tv :)

She is trying to save a trader's name and reputation, and also help the people that have traded and/or bought from him. She has gone out of her way to help with this situation. She has contacted the traders, videotradeblog, and taken the time to talk with them. She has taken the time to get the information from each trader what they are owed. She has taken the time to contact videotradeblog offering to help him, accept packages, check them, and send them on. This is taking her time, effort, and generosity. She is getting noting out of it, but the satisfaction of knowing she helped to save a trader's name, and help other traders to receive what they owed. She does so much for this community and rarely receives the credit she is due. We should all take a moment and say thank you to this generous and wonderful friend of ours.

robyrob 12-19-2007, 03:40 PM i think that indicates that the postage has been paid, and the package has been requested for pickup, but has not been scanned into the system (possibly not actually picked up yet - or just not scanned in yet)
check it again tonight or tomorrow and it should show more info if it is picked up.

Not only what Rob said, but a) Your Paypal has been 100% refunded at my request at this point, so I haven't even been given/paid anything and I have still sent, and b) I would be more than happy to provide a screenshot showing my credit card bill for the transaction.
This is the biggest shipping month of the year in the US. I just had another item delivered within the last couple days. Please see this tracking #: 0103 8555 7492 4563 3367, and please be patient in your case. You are international. That's why I specifically offered to "Express Mail" to someone in the US so you would have proof. Since you wanted it mailed to you, it's going to take 6-10 days according to the post office. Possibly more with the holidays. PLEASE be patient. As of this writing, there is nobody that I haven't shipped to. EVERYTHING is out.
There is no one here that will not get discs from me if I owe you discs. If that tracking doesn't eventually show that you receive a package, I will replace in whatever way possible that you want me to. Simple as that.

Just to followup again on something I just told wildlele in private message. It is possible that tracking information will not update until he receives the discs. I have had that happen before. While other times, the tracking information will update beforehand.
I have two recent examples of things shipped by me:
LJ 504 785 798 US <- package I sent today; person hasn't received the item yet but the post office shows it has been received
0103 8555 7492 4563 3367 <- package I sent on Friday the same day I sent wildlele's package. It didn't update for whatever reason until he received the discs
I don't think you have to pay to get one of those tracking numbers but I've paid in all of the above cases. Proof available to moderators if desired.

videotradeblog 12-20-2007, 03:23 PM This is an item sent to me that was sent "Priority Mail" about 7 days ago and still hasn't shown up. The USPS does at least show it was scanned somewhere 5 days ago. From what I am seeing, "Priority Mail" estimates of 2-3 days (US) are very out of line with what is occuring this month with the holidays. I'm not sure how that is effecting International Mail...

I can assure ALL OF YOU that he is a wonderful trader that has gone one step further to see that my movie order is satisfying for me. I understand the concerns but please just be patient and as soon as you receive your order, please, please, give him nice feedback. Some of my ebay purchases were en route for close to 4 weeks, it's just that time of year!
If I received mine, yours will be right behind. There are so many other things to stress about, so just be patient, have faith your package will arrive and especially this time of year show some love for a fellow trader. And again, please leave good feedback so this situation can be put behind us!

In his defense about del.conf. messages-
There has been a question about the following message being displayed when typing in the del. conf. number:

Everytime I print a shipping/postage label from home-that is the same message that is displayed until the package is actually delivered. I asked someone at the PO about this once, and they told me it is because when you print the label at home it is not scanned into the system until it is delievered. However, when you buy it at the PO-it is scanned into the system right then so they can charge one for it. I hope that helps with that concern.

Dean Winchester 12-22-2007, 01:59 AM yes, I just worked with him yesterday with The Facts Of Life and a few other things (vintage MTV and the sort) and he was finished with my discs less than 24 hrs after we negotiated. He seems like a good trader and the real deal if you ask me, and I already recommended him to a friend who I knew would be interested in some of his list.
Benny JR 12-31-2007, 11:15 AM I expected season's 2-11 of MWC from him, a package arrived today, but there was only season's 7-11 in it. I'm curious now as to when he will send season's 2-6 to me? I was disappointend, but I'm hoping he has sent them, or at least, will send them when Christmas is over.
