Not long ago, I saw an ep in which Stephanie accidentally cut Jesse's hair while pretending to be a barber. She used a phony cry routine. I've been wondering, how many eps featured her routine-I rarely watch the season 1 shows [the Dull House period], and Michelle used it twice-?

Mostly in season 1, and then that was the only other one. I don't know how many eps. but quite a few!

Hmmmm. That's a tough one. She definitely used it in the season two premiere. That's when Jesse told her that it wasn't going to work anymore, so I guess she didn't do it after that. However, Michelle has repeated the routine in a teaser for a second season ep. Steph mentioned to Mr. Bear that she shouldn't have fallen for that routine since she invented it.
I can think of another example. I don't quite remember when, but I vaguely remember a later episode with Nicky and Alex using that same routine to get something from Michelle. Can someone give me more details on this or am I just imagining it?

Michelle used it once at the beginning of an episode (I can't remember which one) before the opening credits ran. Stephanie was playing in her room, and Michelle walks in and says "Stephie play horsie?" And Stephanie says "Stephie's very busy. Stephie doesn't want to play horsie". Michelle says "Yes, she does." and so on...
She does the crying routine and Stephanie finally gives in and then Stephanie says "I can't believe I fell for the old crying routine. I invented it!"
I think it's the episode where everyone is stuck in the house because of the fog. Jessie's parents come over and have that fight and Jessie gives DJ those drums as a truce for her taping over his pancake jingle.
