Not a long drawn out series, but one 2 hour episode like they did with Mary and Rhoda. Since those are the remaining living characters, (I know Jean Stapleton is still living, but they killed poor Edith off!) I think it would be interesting.
1) Mike hooks up with Gloria after his 3rd divorce and discovers he never stopped loving her. I would LOVE that one. (Everyone loves a happy ending!)
2) Mike becomes becomes a born again Christian. Oh the possibilities with THAT ONE!!
3) Gloria is driving down skid row in LA and finds that Mike is a homeless bum.
A reunion will NEVER happen since Rob Reiner is a big deal director, but I like to speculate what would have happened to those characters.
What script would YOU write?

The 3rd one looks good to me.

the only one that might work is M&G meet up at some big convention hotel booked up for Joey's wedding and realise they both are feeling lonely and make the mistake of "waking up" together
Those are some good scenario's. They could bring in some of the other characters from the old show like George J., Irene L., Stephanie & Barney H.

that is a great idea I wonder what would happen with The Gloria and Mike Reunion
How about if Joey had worried about how he would pay for college in the mid-90's, with divorced parents and not a big income, so he got an appointment to West Point, became a career officer, and has been stationed in Iraq. Mike, who had virtually written him off for his choices, has bombed out professionally and socially, but this Christmas he finally wants to see Joey and Gloria again, finds that Joey will be home (with Gloria, who disagreed with his choices but still supported his rights to make them), and it all leads up to a falling out, then some degree of reconciliation between the 3 of them. Mike would really think about 2 incidents... when Archie's friend, who had become a wealthy auto dealer, visits in hopes that his liberal son in New York would finally talk to him again, but he won't... and of course the ep in which Archie's friend who lost his son in Vietnam came to Christmas dinner, then Mike's draft dodger friend also shows up. A ton of ironies. At the end the 3 visit Archies and Edith's side-by-side graves, contemplate for a moment the open Bible on Edith's name, and the inscription of Archie's rank in the Air Corps in WWII, tears begin to fall, and Mike finally says, "We all help the world in our own way."
A little mushy at the end, perhaps. And I didn't even realize I had forgotten about Stephanie, but the show lost me in those years anyway.

They would never do a reunion show because both actors have gained some considerable weight over the years and their vanity wouldn't allow them to do it.
However, if providence should happen, I would love to see a reunion. Since the show, at least in the first four seasons, pushed the "hot topics" buttons - why not do it that direction. For the first half of the show explore that Joey who is now in his thirties is divorced with children and getting re-married but this time to another man! Gay marriage is a real hot topic that this show would have had a great time examining. Episode four from the first season was all about "Roger-bell" and "Macho-man Steve".
The mind boggles at what "AITF" could do with the current events of 2007.
Johnny be good!

How about Lionel, Jenny, and Jessica Jefferson, with Allan Willis in tow visiting the 3 as well?
