I left out Greatest Hits because a lot of times those collections (i.e. "The Essential ____", "The Very Best Of _____", "Ultimate ____", etc...) are done by the record company for a buck as opposed to being something the official artist endorses (I know Prince for instance has spoken against "The Very Best Of Prince"/"Ultimate Prince", two collections Warner threw out to make money).

Feel free to add to the list (the biggest culprits are down a bit):

Dionne Warwick:
Very Dionne
Dionne (1972 and 1979)
Dionne Sings Dionne

Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814

Cher
Cher (1966)
The Sunny Side Of Cher

Chicago:
practically all of their studio output outside of 1978's Hot Streets

Diana Ross:
she's in here because she has released two albums a piece named Diana Ross (1970 and 1976), Diana (1971 and 1980) and Ross (1978 and 1983)

is it any coincidence that the majority of this list are divas known for over the top egos? LOL

Those moptop lads from Liverpool (sometimes called "The Fab Four") gave us:

[And that isn't counting the compilation albums (e.g., The Beatles 1962-1966
(a.k.a. "The Red Album") and The Beatles 1967-1970 (a.k.a. "The Blue Album")) issued after the group disbanded.]
