RATING? It is located in the green section area. I never noticed that before and I clicked on it and it showed me some old threads that had either 4 stars, 3 stars and 2 stars next to them. Right after you click on GENERAL SITCOMS QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSION, you then see the forum with all the threads posted here. It is located right above the stickied threads.

You can rate threads. Well it doesn't give me the option right now; maybe it's for moderators or people with higher ranks. If it's enabled for your rank, it would be to the right of Thread Tools.

Some vBulletin forum administrators have it enabled; others don't. Evidently TJ and Seth don't. In my opinion it looks messy and is practically pointless anyway.

Clicking on rating organizes the threads by highest to lowest rating (or vice-versa) but if members can't rate, there's no point in doing it.

Same thing if you click last post or thread or thread starter - it rearranges the thread according to that. The default is last post so threads that have been recently replied to are on the top of the list.

Oh, and it's not just General Sitcoms Questions and Discussion - it's on every subforum.

Mikey, click on GENERAL SITCOMS and then where you see the STICKIED THREADS, right above in the green area where you see THREADS/THREAD STARTED...continue to look to your right and you will see RATINGS in that same green shaded area.

It seems like the threads that have actually been rated are from a long time ago so I guess the feature was disabled after those threads were rated; hence them showing up when you click it.

yeah, the thread rating option was enabeled in like 2001-ish i guess cause all threads from that time seem to have "ratings". really the only time it's useful is if it's a forum for a TV show and used to rate episodes - that's the only time i've seen that feature used on any board.

Why and who rated them? Were they rated for the quality of the thread? How informative it was?

Good eye, Irene! If you wouldn't have pointed that out, I probably never would have noticed it :) I didn't care too much about the ratings, but what I did like to see were some of the old posts people made, such as the old Nick at Nite and TV Land schedules from like 2002. Very interesting!
