Which do You Prefer The Jeffersons Or Maude?

The Jeffersons. They were funnier and I watched a lot more of their shows than I did Maude.

Didnt we just have this poll? Well, anyway, Maude...The Jeffersons started out as another social issues show, but soon, became just a slapstick comedy disguised as something else, wheras Maude had a true message, plus it was funny, to boot.

Definitely The Jeffersons. It was a top-priority show for me for 9 seasons.

Maude was good too, though. I just never could get into it like The Jeffersons. It just seems like in the 70's, we already had great liberal shows like Mary Tyler Moore and That Girl. Maude was just one more that I didn't need to see.

The Jeffersons by a slim margin, although I liked both shows.

The Jeffersons by a mile although I do love Maudie the character. Maude was fabu when she was on All In The Family and the ep when she came over to take care of Gloria, Mike and Archie when they had the flu was priceless (my fav AITF ep by the way). But the show Maude was kind of flat. Maudie was too one-demensional in her own show, which was shame cause the show had so much potential and Bea is such a great actress. With the right writers, producers she soars (e.g. The Golden Girls)
