I just ran across this a couple weeks ago. I had never known that William Frawley had ever been a "victim" of This is Your Life. I would so LOVE to get a copy of this, or at least see it. Check out the people honoring him. Mostly it's folks from My Three Sons, plus a couple names I don't recognize, and Lucille Ball. I can understand why Desi wasn't there. This was 1961 and it was a period where he was starting to keep a low profile publicly, having recently divorced Lucy. But what about Vivian? How shocking that she wouldn't want to be there to honor her old buddy, Bill. I can just imagine how that would have gone:
RALPH EDWARDS: And now Bill, here is someone else who wants to talk to you. Someone you spent a lot of time with during perhaps the most important period of your impressive career.
VIVIAN VANCE (from backstage): Hi Bill. It's been over a year since I last saw you. But you've left me with sooo many memories. I wish I could forget all of them. Like the time I was stuck in that damn two-headed dragon costume with you and you kept passing gas. I'll be in therapy for years to come as people continue to think I could actually be married to an old coot like you!
