I can't believe nobody has mentioned Lucille Ball yet. She was VERY polarizing to people particularly later in her career. Just to name a few Joan Crawford (albeit she was a whack job to begin with), Richard Burton and Groucho Marx. Allegedly she was not beyond shamelessly humiliating anyone on set right in the middle of production.

Imagine trying to be a stern buck-stops-here executive of Desilu as well as a lovable TV star at the same time.

Yeah, that's a GREAT argument for never working for or with relatives. This is common at my workplace and it would drive me absolutely insane. You need some kind of space between career and personal, and though I'm sure there are exceptions, I think the whole mixing of the two is pretty unhealthy.

Howard Stern has been very vocal about disliking Jay Leno.

He has said things like:

"He's never been funny."

"He steals material, not just from me."

"He's a crook / thief."

"He's not even fit to scrub Conan's feet."Howard Stern is repulsive and sick. Leno should be honored Stern doesn't like him.

Howard Stern is repulsive and sick. Leno should be honored Stern doesn't like him.

Speaking of Jay Leno and Howard Stern, Howard's sidekick Robin Quivers was a guest on Jay's show and ended up getting into it with the night's musical guest, Linda Ronstadt. It had been less than a month after the murder of Mexican-American singer Selena, who even after dying, was still a target of Stern jokes - and I guess that's what started the argument. LR is also Mexican-American. Here's a transcript from the Philadelphia Inquirer:

Jay Leno Referees As Linda Ronstadt Takes On Robin Quivers On 'The Tonight Show'

April 30, 1995|From Inquirer wire services

* It was Linda Ronstadt vs. Robin Quivers on The Tonight Show. First, Jay Leno asked Howard Stern's sidekick, who is black, if she thought she should stand up for women and black people, two frequent targets of the shock jock's jokes. "People tell me I'm supposed to, but I don't find it necessary," Quivers responded Thursday night. When Quivers moved over a chair, and Ronstadt took her seat after singing a song, she told Leno: "It's not my place to take issue with one of your guests, but I felt deeply upset about what she said." The audience booed Ronstadt and cheered Quivers, who defended Stern. "Do you listen to the show, Linda? I think people who listen to the show understand what we're doing," Quivers said. Ronstadt said she didn't listen to it and added: "I think you're shilling for him and I think he's taking advantage of you."

Ronstadt, Stern Sidekick Spout Off on Leno Show
April 29, 1995|By Associated Press

(04-29) 04:00 PST Los Angeles — 1995-04-29 04:00:00 PST Los Angeles -- An irate Linda Ronstadt told off Howard Stern's sidekick Robin Quivers and informed "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno that she barely got through her song because she was distracted and angered by his guest. Quivers, shock jock Howard Stern's co-host, was being interviewed on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" about her new book and the controversial syndicated radio show listened to by millions.

Ronstadt came out to sing a song and shortly after told Leno she could barely get through it.

"I was distracted while I was singing," Ronstadt said Thursday. "It's not my place to take issue with one of your guests, but I felt deeply upset about what she said."

Stern is known for ethnic, sexual and racial jokes, often at the expense of his guests or entire groups of people. Quivers is his foil.

It appeared Ronstadt became angry when Leno asked Stern's sidekick if she thought she should stand up for her race and gender.

"People tell me I'm supposed to, but I don't find it necessary," Quivers responded.

The audience booed Ronstadt and cheered on Stern's collaborator. Leno jumped in, telling the rowdy audience Ronstadt had a right to her view and to allow her to speak.

"I can tell you as a woman and a Mexican American I feel he (Stern) is very offensive and extremely irresponsible," Ronstadt said.

Quivers quickly came to the defense of Stern's show.

"Do you listen to the show, Linda? I think people who listen to the show understand what we're doing."

Ronstadt countered, "I don't listen to it, I can tell you." She added: "I think you're shilling for him and I think he's taking advantage of you."

Leno broke into the bantering, which lasted about five minutes.

^ This incident happened one month after the death of Selena in 1995.

Yeah at the time a lot of people, especially in the Latino communities, hated Stern for his on-air jokes about the incident.

Things like, "Famous Tejano star Selena has been shot dead. Was she famous, I've never heard of her. Well you must be bad if your fan club president kills you."

Then he played some of her music with gunshots in the background.

I can't blame LR or the Latino community at large (not to mention Selena's family) for being upset and offended. That is just cruel and tasteless.

After the controversy about what he said blew up, he then read an on-air apology in Spanish to all those who were offended.

He also said that the murder was tragic and, as a death penalty advocate, said that her killer should be dealt with firmly.

However the damage was already done and not many people accepted it.

It's easy to make jokes about a tragedy when they happen to someone else. My guess is that if it had involved a Stern family member he wouldn't have found it very humorous.

I think that one mark of a mature human being is to be able to look at the plight of someone else and say "that could have been me"; obviously, Stern doesn't qualify by that standard.

Another more recent one is when "All My Children" star Susan Lucci blasted ABC Daytime President Brian Fronz.

She had published her memoir All My Life shortly before "AMC" was canceled and she then went to add a new epilogue to it, which will be published in the paperback edition, where she addresses "AMC's" cancellation.

She said that when Brian Fronz told her that "AMC" was being canceled he appeared "self-congratulatory" and "had that fatal combination of ignorance and arrogance."

She told him at the meeting, "I think our being in this position is the result of some very bad decisions by you."

Lucci especially did not like it when Fronz got rid of creator Agnes Nixon back in 2008 and replaced her with a new head-writer that was "sub-par", and the whole issue of having to move out to L.A. from NYC.

She said, "I watched Brian Frons' decisions destroy the production of our show and the lives of people on both sides of the country."

She also said she was tempted to leave a message on ABC Studios' answering machine saying, "F.U. -- and your little dog, too" but never made the call.

Brian Frons is a massive tool and he deserves every bit of a togue-lashing going his way.

Thanks to him, ABC's soaps have become a complete laughing stock.

I never even understood why he had AMC even move to Hollywood from NY in the 1st place.

And I could never stand his brain-child brand that he's employing on OLtL from day one.

Stern also has no love for Kathie Lee Gifford, having made her a personal target while she was on Live With Regis and Kathie Lee, mocking her stories about her husband Frank and her kids. Things cooled off for a while, until this January, when he ripped into her for having an autistic boy on the Today Show she co-hosts. She wrote a song about his experience sitting alone during school lunch and had a Broadway singer sing it. The boy started crying and at the end said the song "was a little sad." Stern said the whole thing was "child abuse."

Frons has shown time and time again, that he simply doesn't care about soaps. From the day he took over for Angela Shapiro he has made callous, careless decisions that showed disrespect and disregard for Daytime Soaps. He clearly had no idea what he was doing.

First off, he allowed Jill Farren Phelps and Bob Guza to run "GH" into the ground, and take a show that had solid ratings and allow them to shrink massively.

For example, in the 1998-1999 season, GH was rated #4 among daytime soaps and had a 4.6 ratings, and in the 2008-2009 season they had shrunken to 2.1, and though it was #3 among soaps, that was with much less competition. He allowed the mob to overtake the series; even at the frustration of long-term viewers who were fed-up with Sonny & company being the center of attention. He sacrificed core characters like the Quatermaines, Laura and Felicia for newbies nobody cared about who vanished a year later. He showed constant sexism and machismo by allowing Anthony Geary endless vacation time, but denying Genie Francis a two-month vacation with her husband, he allowed legendary characters like Robert and Anna to be written as jokes and fools.

He clearly showed no concern for "OLTL" and allowed fan favorites to walk away while focus shifted to characters nobody cared about. He refused to allow people like Catherine Hickland or Hillary Smith to have adequate airtime, he regulated Erika Slezak and Robin Strasser to the back-burner and allowed the series to loose it's focus and become a "GH" clone for awhile. When the series finally got it's act together and found a unique storyline (Fish) he blamed a brief ratings slum on it and dumped the story in favor of more Gigi, Stacey and Rex, three characters that nobody really ever embraced or cared for. He prevented the series from being properly promoted and cancelled it, despite the fact that it maintained it's loyal audience while "GH"; and especially "AMC" declined rapidly, with twice the number of promotion.

The worst offense is what he's done to "AMC" where he allowed a fantastic, and well rated show to decline to all-time lows. He fired iconic series creator, Agnes Nixon and barred her from the set, while allowing hacks to write the series she created. These hacks, including her protegee Megan McTavish destroyed the integrity and legacy of the series. He showed a total lack of understanding of what the series was about, and what it's viewers wanted. He regulated fan-favorites like Erica, Brooke, Jack, Opal, Palmer and Tad to relative back-burner status while constantly pimping his favorites like Kendall, Ryan, Greenlee, who viewers either hated or didn't care about. He brought in new characters like Simone, Ava, Sean and others that never developed but got more airtime than veterans we've been watching for 30 years. He allowed Brooke to be written out without a storyline or on-screen mention and yet Simone a new character had an episode devoted entirely to her funeral. It was awful. He allowed on all his shows for plot to dictate character; instead of character to dictate the plot. His shows lost all sense of purpose, principal or fun. They lost their identity and became half of what they were.

And apparently w/ the way GH is going these last few years, he hasn't learned about JFP's past history of destroying soaps.

Brian Frons should've learned about what Ms. Phelps, aka the Wicked Witch Producer did to almost every soap she touched during her time as EP on each soaps she worked on. It was her who started the beginning of the decline of Guiding Light's ratings. She sealed Another's World death knell fate. And when she destroyed GL's ratings, she was never hired by CBS since then, which is part of why CBS has been winning the ratings war for a great while now b/c they knew better to not hire her again.

And Brian Frons hasn't learned that JFP is the wicked witch of producing soaps and GH is a sad state of being over-run by the mob.

And the way he and JFP did Genie Francis was just sick!

And AMC also ended up seeing other longtime vets such as Ray McDonnell, David Canary (who been w/ AMC since the early-to-mid '80s) and Julia Barr being gone.

And I hated that period from 2004 until the last couple of years or so (when GH and eventually AMC branched away to using their own new opening credits) when he had all of ABC's soaps use the same cheap a-double-crooked letter graphics package for their opening credits and bumpers.

He has no clue why ABC's soaps are getting burned by Days of Our Lives.

Not only did he allow Jill Farren Phelps to start GH's death toll; but he allowed Megan McTavish to write "AMC" for longer than anybody should be allowed to purposely destroy a series. He also allowed Charles Pratt to ruin core characters like Bianca by having them do things 100% out of character for the sake of cheap ratings.

We all know the idiocy that went on behind the scenes at ABC Daytime, it was clear from day one that Brians number one concern was $$$$ and his intention the entire time was to ruin the soaps to cancel them. He also made the choice to ruin SOAPNET, a network that was one of the fastest growing in cable and was vitally successfully, until he stepped in and tinkered with the programming and started airing stupid reality shows and stuff nobody wanted to watch.

Brian Frons is a moron who also threw Elizabeth Hasselbeck in the world and his reward? He keeps his job for destroying the legacy of the three most successful soaps in ABC history.

Angela Shapiro was ABC Daytime President before Frons took over, she served in the role from 1998-2002, before her Pat Fili-Krushel served in the role from 1993-1998. Both of these ladies showed a lot of passion, love and respect for Daytime Soaps and allowed the creative visionaries to write their shows with heart, dignity and passion. They did not micromanage or let ego's dictate story.

Angela Shapiro left ABC Daytime when she was promoted to President (I think) of ABC Family network. She was previously a co-founder of Soap Opera Digest and was a passionate soap fan.

This goes back a few years ago, but one thing Brian Frons got a lot of hate for was how he promoted Rebecca Budig on "AMC".

I know that Budig has left and returned to "AMC" more than once and she was actually replaced with another actress briefly.

I heard (from my sis) that Frons actually wanted Rebecca back all along and did everything he could. When Budig could not get a prime-time gig she decided to come back to "AMC" when her replacement was on.

To pump her return they kicked the "new Greenlee" out and put in ads. "The Real Greenlee Returns". I remember this got a lot of hate at the time, even from fans of Rebecca Budig.

Yes, Sabine Singh is the actress who briefly replaced Rebecca Budig. Even while Ms. Singh's final episodes were airing - "The REAL Greenlee Returns" campaign was in full swing. Even Rebecca Budig took issue to that (saying in the press that "I'm only the ORIGINAL Greenlee") and I think she even reached out personally to Ms. Singh. I felt she handled it in a very classy way, which is more than I can say for Frons.

I can't believe no one's mentioned the Sean Young/James Woods feud - which essentially led to her being banished (for good) from the A-List.

From the March 20, 1989 issue of People:

http://www.people.com/people/archive/article/0,,20119824,00.html

Fear and Loathing in Hollywood
By Susan Schindehette, Lee Wohlfert, Ken Myers

The Stars of a Real-Life Drama, James Woods Charges Sean Young with Jealousy, Terror and Grisly Revenge

The Synopsis: As breakups go, theirs was a terrifying one. He, after a brief affair, had unceremoniously dumped her to return to his fiancée. She, enraged, began a retaliatory vendetta. Hate mail suddenly appeared in his mailbox. So did pictures of corpses and dismembered animals. Then, one night, he found a mutilated doll at his door—apparently a macabre reminder of his fiancée's abortion. The doll's neck had been cut and iodine splashed on its chest to simulate blood. White makeup was caked on the face to make it resemble a corpse.

A sequel to Fatal Attraction? Not quite. This drama isn't being acted out on the screen. According to court papers, it's taking place in the lives of two of Hollywood's most talented and troubled performers, actor James Woods and actress Sean Young. The description of the mail above, and the mangled doll, all come from lawyers and legal documents. Woods, 41, has filed a $6 million harassment suit alleging "intentional infliction of emotional distress" against Young, 29, his co-star in last year's The Boost. At a time when both their careers are on the rise—Woods in True Believer and Young in Cousins—both are playing roles in a real-life whodunit that has even Hollywood shocked.

While Young has denied the accusation to police and FBI investigators, and even denies having had an affair with the actor, Woods remains adamant that she is his anonymous persecutor. Wherever the truth may lie, the pair are now locked in a poisonous feud. While the movie grapevine buzzes with wild rumors about the entanglement, emotions are mounting on both sides, and lawyers are preparing for a mudslinging court showdown.

Woods's suit alleges that starting in the late fall of 1987, coinciding with the filming of The Boost, Young harassed Woods and his fiancée, Sarah Owen, 25, trampled $500 worth of flowers in their Beverly Hills garden, made threatening phone calls and put the couple on antiabortion mailing lists. Court documents claim that the material Young allegedly caused to be mailed "includes but is not limited to written letters and also...photographs and graphic representations of violent acts, deceased persons, dead animals, gore, mutilation and other images specifically designed to cause Woods and Owen...great emotional distress."

The butchered doll was particularly grisly and particularly sinister. The day after its appearance, says Woods's attorney, Dale Kinsella, "a note was placed on Woods's doorstep apologizing for the delivery, but indicating that the person who had done so had done it at Ms. Young's instruction and that Young was upset because he had [not hung] it from one of the rafters per specific instruction."

A skittish actress with a penchant for theatricality, Young has admitted sending Woods's fiancée an article about the dangers of smoking (it causes wrinkles, said the story), but vehemently denies all of the other allegations. The motive behind the charges, Young has speculated, may be jealousy on the part of Owen, who is scheduled to marry Woods late next month. "I got along great with Jimmy when we were making The Boost," Young has said; she claims she has been seeing actor Robert Lujan since 1985. "But when someone like Kevin Costner or Jimmy are doing romantic work, they get agitated, if you know what I mean, and they go home and their agitation is noticeable."

Young was questioned by the FBI about the antiabortion letters, although the investigation is currently closed. The L.A. police, however, are still looking into the possibility of charging her with disturbing the peace. Attorneys for Woods and Young are now putting together a list of witnesses to be called for depositions. This Thursday (March 16), a judge is scheduled to decide when those depositions will be given.

"Somewhere—between Sean being the worst person on the planet earth, or a totally innocent victim," says Cousins director Joel Schumacher, "is the truth."

Filming of The Boost, the story of a coke-crazed real estate salesman (Woods) and his coke-dependent wife (Young), began in Los Angeles in September 1987. From the start, relations between the two stars were volatile. "When they first met, she told him, 'Don't be surprised if you're in love with me by the end of this film,' " says screenwriter Wesley Strick, who visited the set of The Boost while writing True Believer. "He kidded, 'You'll be lucky if I don't murder you.' "

According to one actor in The Boost, things heated up on the set during Young's first love scene with Woods. Life, as is its wont, began imitating art. "You don't have to be a sensitive actor to realize that right after that they started making love," says the cast member. "I wouldn't call it a spiritually guided relationship."

According to Boost screenwriter Darryl Ponicsan, it was "common knowledge" that Young and Woods were having an affair. "One day everybody was being professional," he recalls. "Then the next day this romance just bloomed. One night I saw them going offhand in hand, and I said to the director, Harold Becker, 'What's this?' He said, 'Don't you know? They're in love.' " Swept away by the mutual infatuation, neither star seemed to care about their other relationships. Sarah Owen, who made her anger over the fling quite clear, took to visiting the set on a more regular basis.

By all accounts, it was not long before things went sour. According to several on-set sources, Woods broke off the affair, seemingly at Owen's behest. An attractive exercise rider for a horse trainer, Owen, 25, reportedly became incensed when Sean dropped by Woods's West Los Angeles house one evening. Woods told a friend that Owen had kicked him in a particularly vulnerable spot, and offered proof in the form of visible swelling and bruises.

When the affair ended, Young is said to have become noticeably moody. "She got snippy if [Woods's] fiancée came around the set," says one observer. "Jim just kept trying to keep her away from him, and she reacted with confusion."

Young, who in her 10-year film career has earned a reputation as a difficult talent, was also on shaky ground with a number of crew members. A week after she had a bitter argument with director Becker over the proper length of her hair, he received a parcel in the mail containing Young's cut tresses. The actress also displayed a mystical bent. "She has this religious side, mixing Catholicism with all this occult, New-Agey stuff," says one crew member. "She was always reading a Bible on the set, an elaborately bound copy.... Then one day a gaffer broke his arm or something, and she went over to him and touched him as if she had the gift of healing. It was an awkward moment because they couldn't tell the star to bleep off, that this person was in pain. Maybe it was a joke, but I don't think so. I think she really thought she could heal him.

"I think she tries hard to be outrageous, but I don't think it's entirely spontaneous. One thing she used to do that the cast and crew didn't appreciate [was] flash us without having any underwear on. That happened to me twice."

Mary Sean Young, born in Louisville, Ky., and raised in Cleveland, is the product of a somewhat unorthodox marriage between Lee Guthrie, a journalist and short-story writer, and Donald Young. "They live together when they want to," Sean has said. She herself has usually been perceived as an outsider. Few of her classmates at the progressive Cleveland Heights High School have nice things to say about her. "She was not a very pleasant person," says free-lance artist Alison Farwell, who once refused to cast Young in a school production of Godspell because her audition was boring. "She informed me that without her, the show would be nothing. She made it widely known that she was better than everyone else at the school in every field, especially beauty." Farwell also recalls that Young told her once, "I don't even know what I'm doing in this burg. You're all so beneath me."

Young admitted her time at Cleveland Heights was not happy. Because she "couldn't bear" the school, she said, "I was smoking a lot of pot. I remember doing it because I wanted to be accepted, but it was a real diminishment of myself."

A dance student, Young became a permanent part of Cleveland Heights folklore when she staged her own recital during her sophomore year. "She came out for one number, and she was wearing this sheer white Danskin with nothing on underneath," says Linda Heuman, one of her best friends in junior high, but one whose admiration cooled as they grew older. "We just all thought, 'God, how could she do this?' I was pretty embarrassed by it."

After graduating from the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, Young switched to acting. She won roles in such movies as Blade Runner, Dune and, most notably, No Way Out, in which she played a memorably explicit love scene with Costner. Her reputation for being difficult began with Wall Street, in which she feuded with director Oliver Stone and co-star Charlie Sheen. Recently she lost roles in Batman and Warren Beatty's Dick Tracy. Young cites artistic differences, but the timing of her departures, combined with the harassment suit, can only raise troublesome questions.

Yet none of these setbacks, it seems, has had any effect on Young's provocative manner. During a recent interview with a male reporter, she spent considerable time pulling the stuffing out of her bra, then tossing it into the air.

Some say it is dramatic flair—and nothing more—that drives Young. "Anybody who knows Sean knows this whole [Woods] thing is absurd," says one friend of Young's family. "Sean may be capable of making an intemperate phone call or sending an intemperate letter, but disfigured dolls? No way."

"Socially she's very bubbly," says John Ohnemus, a stockbroker who dated Young in New York six years ago and still keeps in touch. "I'd be extremely surprised if any of this were true. It would be totally out of character. I just don't believe it, and I say that emphatically."

Actress Isabella Rossellini, who worked with Young on Cousins, supports her friend. "When my [5-year-old] daughter saw Sean for the first time, she thought she had met a princess...," says Rossellini. "I am aware she is made a target of many negative gossips, in my opinion unjustified and absurd."

It may be that Young is simply misunderstood, but those who believe Woods suspect that her bent for flamboyant behavior is a habitual indulgence that has somehow gotten out of control. "Sometimes what happens in this business," she once said, "is that you get to the point where you're forced to protect yourself. The only way to do it is to make people know that you can be rather dangerous too.... It's a facade, practically. But the more you work in Hollywood the more you learn...to protect yourself by making people know that you can make them afraid of you."

Among those who knew him at MIT, where he was a cerebral, scholarship student, there were few who could have guessed that James Woods would one day be one of the screen's most explosive bad boys. Raised in Warwick, R.I., the son of an Army sergeant, Woods was one of 35 U.S. high school students awarded National Science Foundation grants for the study of mathematics. By his fourth year at MIT, Woods decided that acting had his number. He left school, hitched to New York and within two months had his first small role.

Ever since his mesmerizing performance as a psychotic cop killer in 1979's The Onion Field, Woods has possessed the image of a driven, angry, over-the-edge wing nut. Some say the image is all too authentic. "He's a control freak," says a Young family friend. "He lost control when he fell for Sean in a big way and she wasn't interested in him. Let's put it this way: The man hasn't made a career out of playing psychopaths for nothing."

Married for three years to ex-Zoli model Kathryn Greko (they divorced in 1983), Woods also has a widespread reputation—some say he's done most of the spreading—as a tireless womanizer. "I got into this business," he once boasted, "just to meet women." But friends say they began to notice a change in 1986, when Woods met Sarah Owen. At the time, Woods's friend Percy Granger, a playwright, described the actor as "settling down now. For years he was evasive in personal relationships. He would commit more totally than most men would, then burn out. He could be very possessive and very demanding. But when he met Sarah he began to realize he had something special."

There has been speculation that Woods filed the harassment suit to placate Owen or to strike back at Young, or both. But Woods's friends, including Onion Field author Joseph Wambaugh, think not. "Actors are different from accountants," says Wambaugh. "They're expected to be childlike, emotional people whose lives are turbulent. But it would be a disastrous approach for Jimmy to do this just to cause trouble for Young—and no one has ever accused Jimmy Woods of being stupid. He's too smart and shrewd and ambitious for that. Jimmy's the victim here. [The lawsuit] may be the only way he knows to stop the harassment."

If there is a wild card in this unruly drama, it is Owen, who, according to a friend of Young's, made Woods-watching an art during the filming of The Boost. "One day Woods and Young were shooting on the beach, and Sarah was up on a cliff overlooking the beach," says the friend. "She'd follow him, watching him, wherever he went. She's the woman who's really threatened here, not Sean. Sean has her career. All Sarah has is Jimmy."

With his lawsuit pending and the police investigation continuing, Woods has taken the precaution of hiring a bodyguard. For her part, Young professes to be thoroughly baffled. She says she is not guilty of any wrongdoing and has never wished Woods harm. "If you've ever seen my boyfriend Robert Lujan," she says, "you'd know it wasn't me who came to work every day threatening to break up my relationship at home. I spent three months listening to [Woods's] plethora of unending complaints about his life and about his girlfriend."

The ugly mire of charges against Young will be left to the courts to sort out. In the meantime even her mother has to wonder what's going through her daughter's mind. "When Sean was little, I called her my Buddha baby because she was so calm," says Lee Guthrie. "She was a very mellow kid. I think that the worst that can be said about Sean now is that she's very naive, very innocent about the ways of the world.

"At least," adds Guthrie, "she used to be."

Celebrity Feuds: Worst Celebrity Fights Of All Time
03/15/2012

Hilary Duff vs. Lindsay Lohan

Take two Disney starlets and one prepubescent popstar and you have a recipe for one of the most discussed celebrity feuds of the 2000s.

Back in 2002, Aaron Carter reportedly broke up with or cheated on Hilary Duff, who he was dating for two years, to hook up with Lindsay Lohan. The 15-year-old Casanova then left Lohan to get back together with Duff.

Though the girls should have been furious with Carter, they instead turned on each other. Their feud played out in the pages of magazines with both actresses taking shots at each other for years.

By 2007 the girls put their past behind them and made up. "We are both adults and whatever happened, happened when we were young," Duff told People. "It's over."

Jon Hamm vs. Kim Kardashian

"Mad Men" star Jon Hamm recently made some unflattering comments to Elle UK about celebrity culture, putting reality TV queen Kim Kardashian in his crosshairs.

"Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f**king idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly," he told the magazine.

Kim responded on Twitter, writing:

"I just heard about the comment Jon Hamm made about me in an interview. I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We're all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, 'stupid,' is in my opinion careless."

When asked about his comments, Hamm told E! News:

"It's surprising to me that this has become remotely a story. I don't know Ms. Kardashian. I know her public persona. What I said was meant to be more on pervasiveness of something in culture, not personal, but she took offense to it and that is her right."

Courtney Love vs. Dave Grohl

It's a known fact that Courtney Love hates former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, and he is by no means fond of her. The two have been feuding over the rights to Nirvana's music since Kurt Cobain killed himself in 1994.

Most recently, Courtney explained why she hates the Foo Fighters frontman, after playing a show in Brazil. "What I was saying, is Dave makes $5 million a show, he doesn't need the money. His mother's a banker, his father's a stock broker and he's making $5 million a show. Why the f**k then does he have a Nivana Inc. credit card and I don't? And last week he bought an Aston Martin on it," she said.

Miley vs. Selena Gomez & Demi Lovato

Disney starlets do not play nice.

In 2008, teen queen Miley Cyrus went head to head with Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. BFFs Selena and Demi used to make goofy videos they would post to YouTube, much to the chagrin of Miley as it turned out. Miley and her BFF Mandy made a parody video where they mocked the other girls, making fun of their makeup and the gap in Demi's front teeth.

The feud appeared to come out of nowhere. "To be honest I don't know what happened," Selena told MTV. "I though we were okay, but to be honest, I don't even know Miley and Mandy. And Demi has never met Miley. It's interesting -- that's all I'm going to say about it."

They all eventually made up and became friends. Miley addressed the feud in a YouTube video in 2009:

"So everyone's thinking there's a big feud between me and Selena and Demi. Actually, I'm going to have meatloaf with Demi tonight. I'm riding my bike to Demi's house. So I'm going to be partying with Demi 'cause we're friends, and I love her and she is always there for me. She is one of my bestest friends."

Donald Trump vs. Rosie O'Donnell

There are many celebs who have feuded with Donald Trump, but his ongoing fight with Rosie O'Donnell remains the most memorable.

In 2006, Rosie criticized Trump for not dethroning Miss USA Tara Conner after her drug scandal and she called him a "pimp" and "snake oil salesman."

Never one to take things lying down, Trump responded by calling her a "big, fat pig" and a "loser."

Their feud dragged on until no one wanted to hear what either of them had to say and it unfortunately started up again.

In December 2011, Trump tweeted, "Same last name, same bad ratings - @lawrence and @rosie," and linked to a YouTube clip of himself ranting about how neither of their talk shows were doing well.

Rosie tweeted back, "How many billionaires sell ties and have crappy non reality shows -- none - go back to selling snake oil #bankruptmuch?"

Neither will spare the public of their immaturity and their feud continues today.

Will.i.am vs. Perez Hilton

Gossip blogger Perez Hilton was confronted by the Black Eyed Peas at the Much Music Video Awards in 2009 and began hurling insults at Will.i.am and the rest of the band.

Perez was punched in the face by Will.i.am's manager and the blogger later tweeted, "I was assaulted by Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need a police report. No joke."

Will.i.am later denied Hilton's claims and Hilton shot back with a 12-minute video blasting the Black Eyed Pea as a "disgusting human being" and "a f*cking liar."

Perez later sued Will.i.am's manager and a settlement was reached.

Lindsay Lohan vs. Brandon Davis

Who needs enemies when you have friends like Brandon Davis?

Back in 2006, Lindsay Lohan was pals with Paris Hilton, until Paris accused her of trying to steal her boyfriend, Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos. Once Lindsay was on the outs with her socialite friends, oil heir Davis took it upon himself to brand Lohan with a nickname.

While drunk in LA one night, Davis was filmed ranting about Lohan, dubbing her "fire crotch," and making other rude and disgusting claims.

Kelly Osbourne vs. Christina Aguilera

These ladies need to learn to keep their comments to themselves.

Back in the day, Christina Aguilera apparently used to call Kelly Osbourne fat, and now that Kelly has slimmed down and Christina has gained a few pounds the tables have turned.

Osbourne made sure to call attention to the singer's weight gain, not once, but twice in 2011. "Maybe she is just becoming the fat bitch she was born to be. I don't know. She was a c**t to me. And she bought my house,"

Osbourne said during an episode of "Fashion Police" that aired in August. "She called me fat for so many f***ing years, so you know what? F**k you! You're fat too."

Then in October, the singer was again the topic of discussion on the show: "Lady Marmalade got into the peanut better again," quipped co-host Joan Rivers when criticizing Aguilera's too-tight outfit.

"She called me fat for years, I was never that fat," Osbourne said and later added, "Trust me, I'm a 2/4. That is not a 2/4."

Shannen Doherty vs. Alyssa Milano

Shannen Doherty has a reputation as Hollywood's bad girl and feuded with nearly all of her "Beverly Hills, 90210" castmates, and yet it was her feud with Alyssa Milano that will go down as the worst.

The "Charmed" co-stars began fighting on set during the third season and it was reported that Shannen was jealous of Alyssa's popularity. Tension ran high on set and things grew so heated, producers had to bring in a mediator to resolve their issues.

When they couldn't work things out, Shannen left the show.

Mariah Carey vs. Eminem

Is there anyone Eminem hasn't feuded with?

Eminem and Mariah Carey began to spar after he claimed that they used to have a sexual relationship. Mariah denied the relationship, telling Larry King, "I hung out with him, I spoke to him on the phone. I think I was probably with him a total of four times. And I don't consider that dating somebody."

Mariah later mocked his claim in her video for 'Obsessed', which featured an Eminem look-alike who was obsessed with her.

The rapper retaliated with a number of songs that mentioned Carey and threatened to release nude photos of the singer as well as voicemails to prove they dated.

In the song 'The Warning' he raps: "Shut the f&ck up before I put up all the phone calls you made to my house when you were "Wild N' Out" before Nick, when you was on my dick and give you something to smile about."

Charlie Sheen vs. Chuck Lorre

When Charlie Sheen lost his mind in 2011, he dug his own grave and lost his job as the highest paid actor on television.

Sheen went on a rampage, verbally attacking "Two and a Half Men" showrunner Chuck Lorre, after CBS suspended the series due to Sheen's insane behavior.

After Lorre make a joke about Sheen, the actor attacked him, calling Lorre a "clown", and made a strange anti-Semitic dig, saying his real name is "Chaim Levine" (though his name is actually Charles Michael Levine).

Sheen continued to blast Lorre as a "stupid, stupid little man and a p*ssy punk that I never want to be like."

Now that Sheen appears to be sober, Lorre has chosen to take the high road. "I wish him well. I'm glad he's happy and sober," he said in January 2012.

Lauren Conrad vs. Heidi and Spencer

"You know what you did," Lauren Conrad screamed at Heidi Montag on an episode of "The Hills".

Lauren and Heidi's friendship began to dissolve in 2007, when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt. "He's a sucky person," she infamously told her one-time best friend. Heidi chose a relationship with Spencer over a friendship with Lauren and spread a rumor there was a Lauren Conrad sex tape floating around.

Heidi tried to repair things with Lauren, but she wasn't having it. "I want to forgive you and I want to forget you," Lauren told her as mascara ran down her face.

The feud eventually ended but they never repaired their friendship.

As Spencer began to fade into obscurity he tried make himself relevant by burying the hatchet with Conrad, wishing her a happy birthday on Twitter in February 2012.

Gov. Chris Christie vs. Snooki

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has no love for the "Jersey Shore" cast and Snooki isn't fond of him either.

Christie has been vocal about his distaste for the cast and has referred to them as "losers," and also vetoed a $420,000 tax credit for the MTV reality show in September 2011.

Snooki doesn't appriaciate being called a loser and the pint-size reality star tweeted that she wouldn't be voting for Christie for president and added, "Love always, the "buffoons from that degrading Jersey Shore show."

Christie wasn't and isn't running for president, but Snooki regardless explained:

"I DEF don't want a judgmental president who has NEVER met me in person. F that. idc who exploits me. But for a man wanting to be president&calling us names when he's never met us..no thanks. I'll stick w Obama."

Kid Rock vs. Steven Tyler

Kid Rock had a big problem with Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler taking on a new gig as a judge on "American Idol" in 2010.

Kid Rock didn't believe a true rock star would even think about working for a show like "Idol" and proceeded to trash Tyler for it.

Rock told Entertainment Weekly, "I think it's the stupidest thing he's ever done in his life. He's a sacred American institution of rock and roll, and he just threw it all out the window. Just stomped on it and se it on fire."

At a press conference, Tyler responded, "He's just jealous, he's just jealous. And he's working on his new record, so God bless him."

Chris Brown vs. Miranda Lambert

Miranda Lambert was not happy to see Chris Brown performing at the Grammy Awards.

"And Chris Brown Twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl...Not cool that we act like that didn't happen," she tweeted referencing Brown's brutal 2009 assault on Rihanna.

Brown responded indirectly by tweeting, "Hate all you want because I got a grammy now! That's the ultimate f*** off."

Then at her concert, Lambert held up a handwritten poster that read, "Take notes Chris Brown" and said to the audience, "Listen, I just need to speak my mind. Where I come from, beating up on a women is never OK. So that's why my daddy taught me early on in life how to use a shotgun."

Brown fired back in a series of tweets: "Using my name to get publicity? I love it! Perform your heart out! Go buy @miranda_lambert! So motivational and "PERFECT." Goodnight to all the people who live life and who aren't stuck in the past!"

Brett Ratner v. Olivia Munn

In actress Olivia Munn's book Suck It, Wonder Woman she recounts her brief romantic dalliance with director Brett Ratner and didn't have anything nice to say about the size of his penis.

Ratner addressed the claims on "Attack of the Show" saying, "I used to date Olivia Munn, I'll be honest with everyone here, when she was Lisa...she wasn't Asian back then."

He continued: "She was hanging out on my set of 'After the Sunset,' I banged her a few times. But I forgot her...because she changed her name...I didn't know it was the same person, so when she came and auditioned for me for a TV show I forgot her, she got pissed off, and she made up all these stories about me eating shrimp and masturbating in my trailer."

Munn responded by tweeting a link to a Cosmo article she had written titled, "How to Stand up to an A-Hole," that detailed an incident with a director she called the "Douche."

LeAnn Rimes vs. Giuliana Rancic

LeAnn Rimes is skinny -- so skinny that she has people worrying that she's not eating.

The equally skinny Giuliana Rancic was one those people. Pot, meet kettle. The two skinny ladies battled it out telling each other to eat a sandwich.

Ciara vs. Rihanna

Rihanna and Ciara -- who both dated Chris Brown in the past -- got into a heated public spat in February 2011.

First Ciara made a dig at Rihanna on "Fashion Police", saying: "I ran into her recently at a party. She wasn't the nicest. It's crazy because I've always loved and respected what she's done in fashion. It wasn't the most pleasant run-in."

When Rihanna heard what Ciara had said, she fired back on Twitter. "My bad Ci, did I forget to tip you? How rude of me.... You gangsta huh? Ha."

They volleyed insults and threats at each other and then Rihanna called a truce.

"Ciara baby, I love you girl! You hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I'm heartbroken! That's why I retaliated this way! So sorry! Let's make up."

Ciara accepted the apology and that was that.

Kourtney Kardashian vs. Farrah Abraham

This might be one of the most ridiculous celebrity fights of all time.

"Teen Mom" cast member Farrah Abraham didn't think things through when she criticized Kourtney Kardashian on Twitter. "I'm shocked Kourtney Kardashian is pregnant again Did she not learn anything from TEEN MOM? Maybe its a fake pregnancy like kims wedding SAD," she tweeted.

Kourtney was understandably confused by the attack and tweeted back, "Why would I have anything to do with Teen Mom? I'm 32 years old! I may look young, honey, but don't get it twisted."

While Kourtney suggested that Farrah had no idea what she was talking about, the "Teen Mom" star couldn't resist firing back at her:

"Guess what! Age and money honestly do not change a person's poor choice. Quit making excuses," she tweeted.

Kourtney's boyfriend Scott Disick also got in on the fight, sarcastically tweeting at Farrah, "We're not teenagers, ya f**king moron."

When asked if he knew who she was, he responded, "I just thought she was some sh*t stain on Twitter, no?"

Sadly, this Twitter fight actually continued with Farrah later tweeting, "4 all who mistunderstood: regards to kourtney K.~I hope she takes her relationship w/her boyfriend more serious 4 their children-takecare."

Shortly after, however, she couldn't resist getting one more word in with a jab at Disick: "Caught wind of these dramatic articles, w/ loser scott disick or some boyfriend of kourtneys, is Sh*t Stain < racist 4 black?" she wrote.

"Great dad! NOT."

Anthony Bourdain vs. Paula Deen

Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain is not a fan of Paula Deen's cooking.

In 2011 he told TV Guide she was "the worst, most dangerous person to America."

Deen responded, claiming, "You know, not everybody can afford to pay $58 for prime rib or $650 for a bottle of wine. My friends and I cook for regular families who worry about feeding their kids and paying the bills . . . It wasn't that long ago that I was struggling to feed my family, too."

Months later, after Deen announced she has Type 2 diabetes and was now a paid spokeswoman for a diabetes medication, Bourdain responded with a thinly veiled tweet:

"Thinking of getting into the leg-breaking business, so I can profitably sell crutches later."

Deen fired back that Bourdain should "get a life".

Jonah Hill vs. Matthew Morrison

Jonah Hill made it clear he was no fan of "Glee" star Matthew Morrison, when he appeared on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" in September 2011.

Hill recalled a "douchey Hollywood party" where he tried to eavesdrop on a conversation between "Gossip Girl" actor Chace Crawford and Morrison, who had made a joke at Hill's expense at an event a few weeks earlier. He then overheard the two drop his name and start laughing.

Hill took the opportunity on "Late Night" to call out the "Glee" actor: "Matthew Morrison, you better bring your sh*t next time I see you...I'd like to see him sing his way out of this one," he said.

Morrison responded by sending a goofy video to "Late Night", where he finished his joke about Hill and then accepted the actor's challenge, saying, "Nobody messes with someone from musical theater!"

This extremely dorky feud eventually just blew over.

Chelsea Handler vs. Michelle "Bombshell" McGee

Chelsea Handler started a feud with Jesse James' tattooed mistress Michelle "Bombshell" McGee in 2010, with a joke she wrote on her blog:

"I guess she doesn't read magazines which makes sense, since she basically has one on her face."

McGee responded on her Facebook page writing: "Chelsea, here's some free advice: Use some of that Botox from your forehead and put it in your flabby underarm skin. I've seen better wings in a bucket of KFC chicken."

And later wrote, "In all seriousness, Im a big fan of 'Chelsea Lately' ... I was laughing my ass off.... feel so honored to have a transexual [sic] poke fun of me ..."

Don't mess with a comedian -- Handler didn't hold back with her response to McGee:

"First of all, look at my forehead, you dumb bitch, okay? It moves ... You have a tattoo on your forehead, so you have had a needle in your forehead -- and probably Jesse James' balls. So shut your face."

Ryan Murphy vs. Kings of Leon

This feud started after Kings of Leon declined to allow the Fox series "Glee" to cover one of its songs on a future episode.

"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy was pissed and sent a message to the band via The Hollywood Reporter: "F**K you, Kings of Leon," he said.

"They're self-centered a**holes, and they missed the big picture. They missed that a 7-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument. It's like, OK, hate on arts education. You can make fun of Glee all you want, but at its heart, what we really do is turn kids on to music."

KOL member Nathan Followill fired back with a homophobic dig at openly gay Murphy, tweeting: "Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go. See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Zip your lip and focus on educating 7yr olds how to say f**k."

Realizing how his comments could be seen, Followill later tweeted: "I'm sorry 4 anyone that misconstrued my comments as homophobic or misogynistic. I'm so not that kind of person. I really do apologize."

Tom Cruise vs. Brooke Shields

In 2005, Tom Cruise seemed to have lost his marbles when he jumped on couches on Oprah's talkshow.

He then lashed out at actress Brooke Shields, while on the "Today" show, telling Matt Lauer that Shields should not have taken anti-depressants to combat the postpartum depression she was suffering from after the birth of her first child.

Cruise, a Scientologist who shuns psychiatry, insisted the depression could be treated with "vitamins and exercise."

Shields responded by writing an op-ed piece in the New York Times, writing: "I'm going to take a wild guess and say that Mr. Cruise has never suffered from postpartum depression ... And comments like those made by Tom Cruise are a disservice to mothers everywhere ... If any good can come of Mr. Cruise's ridiculous rant, let's hope that it gives much-needed attention to a serious disease."

Cruise later apologized to Shields, the actress told Jay Leno a year later.

"He came over to my house and he gave me a heartfelt apology. And he apologized for bringing me into the whole thing and for everything that happened," she said.

Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West

Kayne West infamously hijacked Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the 2009 Video Music Awards, interrupting her to say, "I'm really happy for you. I'ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time."

Swift was dumbstruck by the incident and it seemed as if she didn't want to get into it with the rapper. "I don't know him, and I've never met him, so..." she said. "I don't want to start anything because I had a great night tonight."

A year later she was literally singing a different tune.

At the 2010 VMAs she performed her new song 'You're Still an Innocent', a reference to the previous year's incident with West, basically calling him immature.

"Thirty-two and still growing up now / who you are is not what you did / you're still an innocent," she sang.

Kanye didn't have any right to fire back, but of course he did.

At a concert in New York City, West blasted Swift to his fans: "Everybody needs a villain, don't we? We need to blame someone at all times ... I was emotional, that was not exactly the way I wanted to word it, but I wrote it, I rode it, just as Taylor never came to my defense in any interview, and rode the waves and rode it and rode it."

The feud seems to have blown over, as Swift wore a blouse from Kanye West's spring 2012 collection in the pages of Harper's Bazaar.

On "As The World Turns" in the Eighties/Nineties. leading ladies Hillary Smith (Margo) and Colleen Pinter (Barbara) HATED each other. But it actually worked for the good of the show, since their characters hated each other as well, making for some juicy scenes.

Funny you should say that; I've also heard that at points during their run on "One Life to Life" Hillary B. Smith (Nora) and Robert S. Woods (Bo) also hated one another and refused to work together; hence why Bo & Nora were apart for far too long.

I also recall reading that one of the ladies who played Simone Hardy (i think maybe Sandra Quatermaine, not sure) and one of her co-stars did not get along.

It's not a feud yet but Jennifer Lawrence talked on Access Hollywood a few days ago about how entertainment magazines are trying to create one between her and Twilight star Kristen Stewart, with "sources" close to Jennifer reporting that she's made claims about besting Kristen with her role in The Hunger Games and mocking her acting. Jennifer said she actually emailed Kristen over the fake feud.

The Rosie O'Donnell/Donald Trump feud has blown up again. Rosie's show on OWN was cancelled this week and Donald took to tweeting about how Rosie is a failure, a bully and that no one should ever give her a chance again. Rosie read some of Donald's tweets on her show.

M.I.A., who is best known for giving the finger during this year's Superbowl halftime show rather than her music, has been blasting Lady Gaga over her music and image ever since she got famous. I haven't heard Gaga say anything about M.I.A. so it seems to be pretty much one-sided. Speaking of the halftime show, headliner Madonna has been the target of Elton John for years, over her music and lip-synching in concerts.

On "As The World Turns" in the Eighties/Nineties. leading ladies Hillary Smith (Margo) and Colleen Pinter (Barbara) HATED each other. But it actually worked for the good of the show, since their characters hated each other as well, making for some juicy scenes.

Really? I never knew that. How did Colleen Zenk (who has since reverted to using her maiden name since divorcing Mark Pinter a couple of years ago) get along with the next (and final) Margo, Ellen Dolan?

I also recall reading that one of the ladies who played Simone Hardy (i think maybe Sandra Quatermaine, not sure) and one of her co-stars did not get along.

Actually, Sandra Quatermaine was never on GH, but she was on AMC briefly as a recast Angie Hubbard after Debbi Morgan joined the short-lived NBC soap Generations. The actresses played Simone Ravelle Hardy on GH:
Laura Carrington (1987–1989), Stephanie Williams (1990–1993), and Felecia Bell (1993-1996).

I heard that David did not get along well with many of his female co-hosts on the show and that was why Nancy Dussault and Sandy Hill got off the show because of him.

Bill Cosby was weird when it's came to a lot of things.

The whole Bill-Lisa Bonet thing is widely and publicly known. That has been in the press many times. Sadly she has said before that she does not want to be known as a Cosby/Huxtable's kid and would rather forget about it. she has kind of bad mouthed the show as well saying that she did not have a good time doing the show. Lisa has never been to any TV reunion that the show has had. She also did not get a long very well with Phylicia either later on in the show.

I did hear that Bill fired Cockroach because he would not change his haircut! Has that ever been confirmed?

Lisa Bonet and Janet Hubert-Whitten should join a club called the: Grudge Holders.

Yes. Lisa Bonet was on the first season of "A Different World", but she quit or was fired from that show too. In the second season, Debbie Allen took creative control of the show and turned it into a show that covered more heavy issues and updated the cast. Supporting cast member Jasmine Guy as Whitley Gilbert became the lead actress and became less mean and more of a spoiled brat. Dwayne Wayne played by Kardem Hardison became less geeky and more of a ladies man. They also added a few new characters like Charlene Brown as Kim, Cree Summer as Freddie and Glynn Truman as Colonel Taylor. Also they made previously recurring characters Ron and Walter (Daryl M. Bell, Sinbad) regulars.

the whole show turned around. Another good thing is that they dumped season 1 character Maggie played by an out of her element Marissa Tomei. The character made no sense, she was white and it had been clearly established that Hillman was a historically African-American college. The whole series changed for the better.

Rosie O'Donnell doesn't think Lindsay Lohan should play Elizabeth Taylor.

O'Donnell told "Today": "I feel very sorry for her ... I think she needs a lot of time away ... She's had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including 'SNL'. She was out and not in rehearsal. I think she's not in a place to work... The last thing she did good she was sixteen. I don't think she's right for the role and I don't think she's capable at this point to portray that character."

Lindsay Lohan responded on Access Hollywood:

"It's funny that someone you don't know at all can say something so intrusive and so knowing. She should base her opinions when she meets someone.

I know that I'm great. ... I know Liz Taylor really well and we shared some makeup artists... same hairstylist. We've worked with a lot of the same people. She sent me a ring at one point in my life, from her House of Taylor Costume Collection. I'm really lucky to be able to do this role and I just want to honor her the way that she should be honored, because she's helped a lot of people in her life.

I'm going to do the best that I can do with the role and I'm very excited to do it."

Michael Lohan also responded:

"Who the hell is Rosie O'Donnell to judge anyone, especially Lindsay, who has far more talent than Rosie ever had? Lindsay's talent isn't limited to being a comedian or getting notoriety for adopting and raising a bunch of kids.

Sure, Lindsay has her pitfalls, but she is 25, and how old is Rosie? Two failed talk shows, a failed marriage, etc ... He/she who is without sin. May they cast the first stone."

Plus, a Liz Taylor biopic was done before - in 1994, starring Sherilyn Fenn. That was a good miniseries, and Ms. Fenn actually looked and sounded enough like the real Liz to pull it off. Not to mention that Lindsay should be devoting this time to staying sober rather than rushing back into acting. What's the over/under that this project will actually be made WITH Lindsay rather than her being replaced?

I agree as well. I don't know why some filmmakers have this obsession with Lindsay playing actresses that she hardly resembles. First it was Linda Lovelace, now it's Elizabeth Taylor. You would think studios would want an actress who at least actually looks like the star they're portraying. Also, with all her public trouble, I don't know why studios would even risk using her. Cecil Fielder: ‘I Love My Son’

February 18, 2012 3:20 PM

Cecil Fielder gave an unusually frank interview to 97.1 The Ticket’s Bob Wojnowski and Jamie Samuelsen at Saturday’s SportsFest event in Novi where he said — once and for all — he wants to settle the feud with his superstar son Prince Fielder.

“I had some great times in that stadium,” Fielder said about the old Tiger Stadium. “My son had some great times there… I have a special place in my heart for Tiger Stadium.”

Discussing his son, who recently signed a $214 million contract with the Detroit Tigers, seemed to open the floodgates for Fielder, who usually shies away from discussing their relationship. The two have a well-known rift.

“I gave that boy everything I had, as far as the game of baseball,” Fielder told Wojo and Samuelsen.

Wojo asked if the ice could melt between Fielder and his son.

“He’s my son, I love my son,” Fielder said. “There’s some disconnect there…I’m going to extend the olive branch to him…We need to put it away.”

Fielder said he last spoke to his son at Christmas; previously, the two hadn’t spoken in two years, he said. He said he called because he needed his son “and his Mama to act like they had some sense.”

But the rift is apparently still there.

“We’re going to have to talk and move on,” Fielder added.

Fielder also discussed his 51-home run season with the Tigers, and what was going on at the time.

“I was just ready for the season to be over,” Fielder said. “It was a long grind.”

So, what does he most remember about the moment he hit the final smash over the wall?

“(Opponent) Don Mattingly said ‘Just go out there and do it…’ That helped me get through it,’” Fielder revealed.

John Mayer recently told Rolling Stone that he was "really humiliated" from Taylor Swift's song 'Dear John'.

"It made me feel terrible because I didn't deserve it. I'm pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do."

"I never got an e-mail. I never got a phone call. I was really caught off-guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I'd already been dressed down. I mean, how would you feel if, at the lowest you've ever been, someone kicked you even lower?"

"I will say as a songwriter that I think it's kind of cheap songwriting. I know she's the biggest thing in the world, and I'm not trying to sink anybody's ship, but I think it's abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, 'Wait till he gets a load of this!' That's bullsh*t."

*Taylor Swift has never officially confirmed that the song was about him, however it is "generally understood" that it is.

Kim Zimmer and Robin Strasser at one-point had a feud that has since been apparently squashed. When Kim appeared on OLTL in the 1980's as Echo DiSavoy she became immensely popular and was a hit with viewers; which apparently Robin didn't care for and rumor has it Robin who was dating a producer at the time got Kim fired from the series.

In her book, Zimmer discusses this although she never officially names Robin as the woman, however it is generally understood that Robin is the one she was discussing. Since then however both ladies have made amends and Kim appeared on OLTL as Echo from 2009 until it's end in 2012.

Former OLTL star Ellen Holly, who played Carla Grey, one of the series original characters has since released an interview stating she has an on-going feud with OLTL producer Agnes Nixon and ABC for apparently being racist towards her and treating her poorly. She also calls out producer Paul Raunch, and star Erika Slezak as being racist towards her and treating her like garbage. She alleges that because she is black she was forced to be paid less than other OLTL stars, was not allowed to have an agent negotiate her contracts and was called fat, stupid, ugly and told her voice was horrible and offensive and that she was verbally harassed on a daily basis by various producers including former ABC head Jackie Smith.

She also claims that while being promoted as the star of the series she was not paid like other lead actresses; she says while she was promoted as OLTL's star in the way that Slezak was and that Susan Lucci was on AMC, she made merely a fraction of what they made.

That is not true at all. Matt and Meredith got a long Great! Matt adores Meredith and Meredith loved Matt(As Friends!!) They are great Friends and are very close! They have Great chemistry, IF you watched them in Londn you would have seen that.

If they did not get along Meredith would have never gotten the job in the first place since they had a secret meeting before it was even rumored that Meredith was a front runner for the job, and she was his choice for Co-Host!

On Meredith last day Matt said that he has never worked with anyone better then Meredith and that he never had a better Partner then her at his side.

I don't know where you've been, but it was WIDELY REPORTED for YEARS that they did not get along off-screen and that Matt was very vocal about wanting her fired when she first started on Today.

Nope. you are indeed misinformed. It has been widely reported by VARIOUS media sources, including national news that Matt & Meredith did not get along in real life. In fact, Meredith herself hinted to David Letterman that she and Matt didn't get along and that Matt was impossible to get along with.

They have really very little chemistry too by the way. You could tell by watching there was some tension there.

Matt Lauer is a jerk. plain and simple.

Definitely. You could tell it was going to happen all over again after Madonna won the Golden Globe for Best Song and then she was the headliner for last year's Superbowl. She was making her 2012 "comeback" and Elton was making little jabs here and there. I think the camel that broke the straw's back this time was Madonna's comments about Lady Gaga, whom Elton adores, and he let it rip. But in all reality, it doesn't take much to get him pissed off. :violin:

Okay obviously this has gotten more heated than I had anticipated, so at this point I'm just gonna say I'm sorry if you are upset by this discussion, and I'd love it if we could just agree to disagree. We obviously don't share the same viewpoint on this subject and I'm sure neither of us wants to take any more time out of our day to argue back and forth about this.

Can we just agree to call a truce and agree to disagree?

Personally I have no feelings one way or the other about Matt Lauer, and since you don't know me at all I can't understand why you'd assume that I would want to spread lies about him. I was simply relying information that I had read previously, which apparently is not the same as the information that you have read. I can't see any reason why it should upset you so much.

All I can do is apologize if it upsets you and ask that we simply agree to disagree and call it a day. There really is no way to know for sure what the real truth is, so I guess we can just agree to disagree.

Johnny be good!

Good Morning America David Hartman and Joan Lunden did not get along quite well especially when she became a bigger star than him.

I heard that David did not get along well with many of his female co-hosts on the show and that was why Nancy Dussault and Sandy Hill got off the show because of him.
Nancy Dussault and Sandy Hill also left due to being scripted as less than equal co-hosts. I also heard that Charlie Gibson and Lisa McRee didn't get along, but theirs wasn't as bad as David and Joan.

Al Roker has been throwing a few jabs at Matt Lauer as of late.

And I have heard very few good things about the Matt - Meredith situation.

From the outside, it looked like Matt was pushing for that new girl to be on the show.

She's on the show, and the ratings aren't going any higher.

I think the reason for that is that everyone on The Today show seems like they are under pressure. Well, except for Hooda and Kathy Lee.

Turn over to GMA, and they are having a good time.

I think Matt needs a drink in his hand at all times, I'll start watching.

I don't know if this was already said but there's also the beef with Nicki Minaj and Lil' Kim. Lil' Kim called Minaj a no-talent or something like that.

I think that Rue McClanahan also said similar things about Bea. I think I recall Rue saying that her and Bea were co-workers but not much more and that she'd only ever been to Bea's house twice in all the years they worked together.

Twitter feud between Eddie Cibrian's wives:

LeAnn Rimes, Brandi Glanville Feud on Twitter

Singer LeAnn Rimes and reality TV star Brandi Glanville spent the weekend in a bitter war of words on Twitter.

Rimes had a very public affair with Eddie Cibrian when he was married to Glanville, and Rimes and Cibrian both divorced their then-spouses to marry each other.

Cibrian and Glanville had two sons together, and those boys are now Rimes’ stepchildren. She tweeted about Glanville’s children — Mason, 8, and Jake, 5 – on Friday and Glanville, who stars in “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” didn’t appear to like it.

On Nov. 30 Rimes tweeted: “Flying out with my boys in a few hrs. Love that it’s a family tour weekend. It’s always more fun when they are with me.”

On Saturday, Glanville, 40, tweeted to her more than 157,000 Twitter followers: “Someone is trying 2 get under my skin by calling MY children “her boys”Sooo transparent! They R MY boys, Eddie Boys and ur step-sons… 4 now”

As the weekend continued Glanville continued to tweet, “”Im taking a moment from twitter to breathe and punch some pillows.”

When Glanville follower @FromFL responded to her tweet with this: “@BrandiGlanville deep breaths! Until she’s a mother herself she won’t grasp that concept. Hang in there!” Glanville replied: “@FromFL she needs a baby stat!)”

But that wasn’t all. Glanville also tweeted this on Saturday: “a friend just sent me a video of MY 5 yr old riding his bike on a busy st without his training wheels & without a F*****G Helmet”

Rimes – who has more than 341,000 Twitter followers – replied to Glanville: “@brandiglanville really, he’s not in a st. It’s in our neighborhood, and you know it. It’s on the dirt.”

Another follower tweeted the “Housewives” star and said she hated Rimes, and Glanville took it even further with her reply: “I dont hate her I feel sorry for her but if she hurts my kids I will cut a b**ch or probably something worse.”

It’s not the first time Glanville has expressed such strong feelings about Rimes. In an interview with Radar Online, Glanville said she thought she was going to “physically hurt” Rimes when the singer turned up at her sons’ soccer games.

“I remember walking up to soccer practice and there she was with my baby in her lap,” Glanville said. ”My blood was boiling, and I thought I was going to kill her. I really thought I was going to physically hurt her. … She was sitting in my soccer chair, under my tent. She’s got my kid on her lap, and she’s with my husband, and that was that little moment of total irrational fury.”

Rimes has been tweeting about being a stepmother, and has asked her followers who are stepmothers to add the hashtag #TwitterStepmoms to their profiles.

Rimes, 30, hit country stardom when she was a young teen and later became a crossover pop star. She recently went to a rehab program to cope with anxiety and stress.

Here's more of the dish on these links - I'm too tired to cut and paste:

Before hitting primetime fame on Third Watch, Eddie Cibrian got his big break on soaps - The Young & The Restless and Sunset Beach. It was on Y&R that he began dating co-star Julianne Morris. While she didn't come right out and admit that he'd cheated on her, I think anyone can read between the lines in this interview she gave Soap Opera Digest in late 1998 after she'd joined the cast of DAYS:

http://www.angelfire.com/ca/funkmister/princess.html

P.S. Julianne Morris, who doesn't appear to be acting these days, has been married since 2003 to actor Kristoffer Polaha and they have three young sons. I bet she is happier than anyone that she didn't take the plunge with Eddie Cibrian way back when!!!!

They have to learn how to be cordial for those kids. It can't be easy for them, they didn't ask for all of this. They need to grow up and learn how to co-parent together.
