Just watched Rememberance of Flings Past (high school reunion, where Sarah returns with her son to Brian's surprise). So it's 1995, and Joe says that seven years earlier that he and Sarah had a brief thing after she and Brian broke up. That would put things at 1988.
Now...didn't Joe and Brian not speak for six years up until 1990 when the show began? Which would put Brian running off with Carol in 1984...so what's Joe doing messing around with Brian's g/f in 1988? And are we to surmise that Brian was cheating on Carol four years into their relationship?
