We've all been waiting for over a year now for season 5 of TMTMS to be released to DVD. While there are no signs of this release, I found something interesting on the iTunes Music Store. Other MTM shows are now available for download, including The Bob Newhart Show, Lou Grant, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere. No signs yet of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show."
Here's the interesting part: Only seasons 1 & 2 of "Hill Street" are out on DVD. However, season 3 is available for download! Could this mean seasons 5, 6 & 7 of Bob Newhart will soon be available for download, or, seasons 5,6,& 7 of Mary Tyler Moore whenever this show is added? Possibly. While I'd like to have these final seasons on DVD, I'll take downloads over having nothing at all!
