I was watching this episode with my boyfriend and he was taken aback by the editing on the show. He hadn't seen Alice during the summer but he was off today and seen the show with me. He kept telling me abt the bad editing, how they cut away to a commercial at the weirdest times, etc. I told him, "I KNOW, I KNOW..."
Anyone catch the late Mr. Whipple on this episode? He showed up as the drunk right before the wedding started.
Also, Alice singing the song YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS sounded so corny. It seems like she was purposely singing awful.

You should see my parents' wedding album...my dad had a white ruffled tux on and all the groomsmen had blue ruffled tuxes!! (That was in 1974.)

Oh man, those blue-ruffled tuxes were the thing in the 70's... Funny, back then they were so awesome and cool...now, they look HORRENDOUS!
That one character, forgot his name, one of the regular customers of Mel and also a regular boyfriend of Flo's () he was wearing a gold-like colored tux encrusted with jewels or rhinestones. That made the blue tuxes look great!
Oh, lets not forget the bridesmaids dresses and hats! OY VEY!!!!

^ Well, the wedding fashions didn't last, but my parents' marriage has!! 33 years and they still bicker like Marie and Frank Barone.
Can someone post a screen capture? I missed the episode and didn't get to see the 1970s fashions in all their glory.

No, they did not get married. Flo got cold feet at the end of the episode and the two of them called off the wedding.

I only have season one on DVD. I don't know how to do screencaps. :( HELP! I know this episode is from season 3.
Funny, Vera's Broken Heart was shown AFTER this episode on CBS, but here on ION, they showed it BEFORE.
