Someone told me the reason 90210 isn't on dvd is because the studio company that produced 90210 is having trouble with paying all the bands that played the various music throughout the series. Does anybody know if this is true?

The first three seasons are already out on dvd. Season 1 came out over a year ago and season 3 will be available this December.

They didn't use all of the original music from the series. Says so on the box.

The music sucked in 90210 anyway. The good thing is the actual key moments so far they kept it intact, especially for the graduation in season 3. I am pleased with the first 3 seasons and look forward to season 4.

Not all the music sucked. REM's "Losing My Religion" was taken out of the Brenda/Dylan break-up scene. Now THAT sucks. I'm happy with the rest of the episodes though.

That is true that should have been there. Perhaps suck is the wrong word. I just remember for the most part watching the show back then and not liking or caring about most of the music. So i guess that is why it does not bother me much that it has been replaced today.

I haven't watched 90210 in maybe 15 years (disappointed to hear Losing My Religion was pulled from the DVD). I remember the episode where they went to see Color Me Badd in concert (rofl, it was 1991-1992, remember) and a number of CMB songs were used in said episode. How did that episode fare on DVD? I mean, it's Color Me freaking Badd, I doubt they ask as much for their songs as R.E.M.

I hope getting the performances at the After Dark later in the series isn't going to be a major problem for the DVD's...

Ha! A lot of the music was bad. The 90210 music after the main credits always reminded me of the songs they played on Baywatch (after their credits as well). I know it was the early 90s, but damn. LOL
