As a team, we have to be strong and take care of business. On the field I hated him but I would never wish that on him... it is truly sad...i can almost assure you this is more than just a burglary... Mr. Television 11-27-2007, 12:00 PM This is awful news. Janice 11-27-2007, 06:36 PM This is such a terrible tragedy. God bless his soul and give his loved ones the strength to cope with such a devastating loss. And a big dope slap to the mediots for speculating this early on, that it was more than a home invasion. Such disrespect! Mr. Television 11-27-2007, 07:36 PM One of the Cowboys boards redid their layout in honor of Sean Taylor. http://cowboyszone.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=59 GARFIELDKOOL 11-27-2007, 07:51 PM This is awful news. He was so young. My condolences to his family and to you GARFIELDKOOL and all Redskins fans. R.I.P. Sean. :( Thank you, I have been interacting with many Redskin fans as I could today. Highly appreciated. GARFIELDKOOL 11-27-2007, 07:53 PM On the field I hated him but I would never wish that on him... it is truly sad...i can almost assure you this is more than just a burglary... One thing that stands out is whenwe were playing the Eagles two years ago at the Linc, and he picked a fumbled ball andran it in the endzoe to put us in the playoffs. LOL He also did that to the Bucs in the playoffs and eliminated them. Janice 11-27-2007, 07:54 PM Thank you, I have been interacting with many Redskin fans as I could today. Highly appreciated. Same here, GARFIELD. I know it's rough. I remember when Reggie Lewis of the Celtics died, it was just awful. Fans grow to love their players. Janice 11-27-2007, 07:59 PM One of the Cowboys boards redid their layout in honor of Sean Taylor. http://cowboyszone.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=59 Very nice, class act. Love your avatar Sonny, btw. GARFIELDKOOL 11-27-2007, 08:20 PM Same here, GARFIELD. I know it's rough. I remember when Reggie Lewis of the Celtics died, it was just awful. Fans grow to love their players. I remember that. He was suppose to be their next franchise player and died while practicing shooting hoops from an irregular heart beat. About a week or so before that, he collasped knee down in a national televised playoff game with the Hornets I believe. He got a up a few seconds later. mriggles 11-27-2007, 08:22 PM Same here, GARFIELD. I know it's rough. I remember when Reggie Lewis of the Celtics died, it was just awful. Fans grow to love their players. I remember when Jerome Brown died... it was on the day of my high school graduation.... i was truly saddened.. I loved him Mr. Television 11-27-2007, 08:40 PM Very nice, class act. Love your avatar Sonny, btw. Thanks Janice. :) Being a big Maryland Terrapin fan I remember when Len Bias died. I was even up in the D.C. area in the summer of 1986. It was an awful time and even though he had already been drafted by the Celtics, his death was felt by the Terps for many years afterwards. catlover79 11-27-2007, 08:42 PM While we're on the subject, does anyone remember the late NBA star "Pistol" Pete? GARFIELDKOOL 11-27-2007, 08:43 PM While we're on the subject, does anyone remember the late NBA star "Pistol" Pete? I know who he was, but I think he died before my time. freshprinceofLA 11-29-2007, 05:05 AM While we're on the subject, does anyone remember the late NBA star "Pistol" Pete? Yea died before my time but Pistol Pete Marivich you are talking about great player played for the jazz and hawks he died in 1988 I believe I think it was heart failure But on the topic of sean taylor: R.I.P. I wasn't the biggest sean taylor fan . But football is just a game it ain't real life. You could lose a football game and go back and get on the field the next week but death is final. Sean was one of the best safties in the NFL the kid had talent. Even though sean got into some legal problems I heard he tryed really hard to turn his life around and that says a lot. Some just give up but Sean kept pushing and trying and you gotta admire him for that. Even though I didn't really care for him much on the football field I wouldn't wish this on an enemy or on anyone for that matter REST IN PEACE SEAN TAYLOR YOU WILL BE MISSED my thoughts and prayers go out to the Taylor family and the skins team and fans. I still can't believe this is the 2nd shooting releated death of an NFL player in less than a year (darrent williams) so sad R.I.P. Janice 11-29-2007, 03:31 PM Will the Redskin player's wear black armbands for the remainder of the season? I'm guessing that they'll have some sort of tribute to him at their next game. GARFIELD, you're closer to this than all of us. Do you know of any plans? GARFIELDKOOL 11-29-2007, 07:47 PM Will the Redskin player's wear black armbands for the remainder of the season? I'm guessing that they'll have some sort of tribute to him at their next game. GARFIELD, you're closer to this than all of us. Do you know of any plans? From what I heard on Extremeskins, not only are the Redskins are going to wear #21 on their helmets, but every team in the league. All teams will also have a moment of silence at the beginning of every game. Ireneparalegal 11-29-2007, 07:52 PM Kool, who is the fool that I seen on the news last night slamming the 911 operators for supposedly "delaying" the help Sean needed? My God, this idiot was talking to the news cameras saying "to all the black people, when you call 911, SOUND OR SPEAK WHITE" or else you won't get the help you need. He was claiming that Sean died because he was black and help took their time getting to him. He was shocked that Sean was shot in the leg and died. What an idiot. He obviously doesn't know abt your major artery that runs down one's leg, which is what happened to Sean. I can't remember that fool's name. What a stupid a$$!!!! Ireneparalegal 11-29-2007, 08:21 PM Dieon Sanders? Nah, it was some dude, God, I can't remember his name. He was on the news last night sounding like an ignorant fool. I will try and find it. Ireneparalegal 11-29-2007, 08:31 PM here it is... What a friggin' stupid a**hole: http://www.tmz.com/2007/11/28/rampage-can-talk-white-but-is-he-right/ GARFIELDKOOL 11-29-2007, 08:36 PM here it is... What a friggin' stupid a**hole: http://www.tmz.com/2007/11/28/rampage-can-talk-white-but-is-he-right/ I didn't catch that one. I did see a Dieon Sanders one when he assumed it was a black person shot him. Just for the record, based on my experience growing up in the projects, I have seen the police, ambulance, and fire department respond to "black voices" in 5 minutes. LOL Stormtracker TF 11-29-2007, 08:41 PM That's so horrible. R.I.P., Sean. What a tragedy. :( |
