Michelle Ryan looks set to lose her role on TV show Bionic Woman - as the show is rumored to be facing the axe by studio executives. Following the Hollywood's writers' strike, the cast of the sci-fi remake saw their contracts with Universal Media Studios suspended earlier this month.
And now production has been halted on the action-packed drama, Hollywood insiders predict the show - which has seen viewer figures plummet since its premiere earlier this year - will be dropped.

How many times can the writers' strike be used as an excuse? The show sucks, that is the problem.

I gave the show a chance but I gave up on it a few weeks ago. The original was a light crime show. This show is too dark. It's sad too because fans were willing to give this show a chance as ratings for opening week proved.

I stuck with it, although it was my least favorite new show. I much preferred
Lindsay Wagner's original series. I must confess that I won't really miss the
new version. I don't dislike Michelle Ryan. As you've said, the new show is
simply "too dark."

I tried to give it a chance too, but also stopped watching a few wks ago. When I ended up erasing the last few episodes I taped on my DVR becuase I wasn't enthused about watching it, that told me not to force myself to watch anymore.

I also watched it a couple times; then gave up on it. It was a good show but like others have said; it was too dark.

I didn't think it was bad, but I agreed with Entertainment Weekly's assessment that Michelle Ryan wasn't that strong as a lead character. I actually preferred the "bad" first Bionic Woman who appeared in a few episodes.
I liked Miguel Ferrer, who has a knack for playing grumpy, beleaguered bosses, though.

It's sad, because this was looking to be the breakout show of the season. Then, the writing got dull, the stories got boring, less and less action was in every episode, and it was doing barely over 6 million.
I guess with this and Journeyman facing the axe, and no new shows being developed for next season, we can expect to see even more reality on NBC. I know what you'r thinking - more reality on NBC? How is that even possible?
