House star Hugh Laurie has taken up boxing in a bid to retain his title of America's sexiest man. The British actor was awarded the prestigious title by the influential TV Guide Magazine for his role in the hit drama series, and is determined to hang on to the accolade.

Laurie is adopting a grueling regime of work-out sessions and finds boxing to be the most effective method of keeping in shape, but insists he is yet to fully perfect his technique.

He says, "It is fascinating. I swank around thinking I am a big cheese, but you do not feel like that when you are in the ring with a chap who knows what he is doing."

I can't even picture him boxing. :lol:

I can't either! I am pleased that he received this honor from TV Guide--I have kept all their issues with him and his colleagues on the cover and/or featured inside. But I find him sexy precisely because he is not muscle-bound--but rather rugged-looking, funny, intelligent, and overwhelmingly self-confident!
