thats weird, usually the church groups complain BECAUSE the word "Christ" has been taken OUT! Either way, Im ok with Holiday lights, and Christmas tree has always been a misnomer anyway......the tree tradition is actually from the druid winter solstice celebration, when they used to light trees afire to celebrate the Dec 21 solstice.........when the Christians came along, they adopted the tradition as their own. As far as your poll goes are you asking if the church groups are right to do this?

yeah i am and i don't think its right at all i think there just trying to make everyone feel gulty or something i don't think we have to change anything to anything! what are we going to just rewrite all of the christmas songs just becuse they say the word Christ in them??? i'm sorry but i don't think i've ever disagreed with something like this in a long long time i think we should just leave it like it is and has been for years and years! i mean they get mad at everything just because its not the way that they want it to be! well i really just don't care i'm calling christmas christmas and if they all got a problem with that then oh well!! i don't think that God is going to "punish" us all for it!

 Holiday Lights. I'm sick of everything being "holiday". Valentine's Day is a "holiday" but we're not talking about that...we're talking about Christmas. And most of the US is Christian and celebrates it. Live with it, live with using "Christmas" to indicate the non-religious aspect of it, or go away. Go be offended by everything somewhere else.

I wish some people would just not say things. Like they're the only ones who have ever and will ever be offended by something. Crackpots.

That's what I was thinking. Usually when "Christ" has been removed or the whole word has been replaced with another word like "Holiday" people get all upset.

It is a Christmas tree tho... Not a Chanukah tree... so why would they call it a holiday tree?
