View Full Version : Who is in this photo? need info on this UM case - Patricia Meehan
err0r 11-26-2007, 04:57 AM Hi everyone.
I hate to begin on this forum with such an annoying post, but it's crucial for a project of mine and would be grateful for any help you guys can give. I'd like to know the name of the missing woman in this photo and more info on the original UM episode that featured the story on this missing person. I had this info but most of it got wiped from an old PC!
Here's the photo; conveniently nicked from LooksLikeCRicci's avatar.

Thank-you very much.

Welcome to the board, You shouldn't feel that your post is annoying & I'm sure someone here will be more than glad to help you. I wish I could but unfortunately I'm not familiar with the woman nor the case.
wiseguy182 11-26-2007, 05:22 AM That would be Patricia Meehan, who disappeared after a minor car accident she caused in the late 80's in Montana. It is believe she might be suffering from amnesia. There have been several unconfirmed sightings of her. It is believed she fled the accident thinking she caused grave injury or death to the car's occupants, but no one was seriously injured.
err0r 11-26-2007, 05:34 AM Talk about a super fast reply.
Hello zoneboy, thank-you for the welcome.
And wiseguy182; that was a big help. I'd been going through the UM episode guides but didn't find much. Perhaps I was not thorough enough. Many thanks for this.

you're welcome and welcome to the forum!
LooksLikeCRicci 11-26-2007, 11:55 PM Aw, crap. I'm always too late on these things....
Darn that pesky practice of law. ;)
Yes, Err0r, welcome to the forum. My avatar is glad you're here. :) I wouldn't feel bad about missing this picture. I don't think it's the BIG picture they use for Patricia Meehan. This picture was actually found in her camera. It looks like she took it in a bathroom or something. Eerie, eh? I've always wondered what happened to Patricia Meehan. Being a Montana gal and all (and population wise, we're a pretty small state), you'd think that someone would have turned up after all these years...
drew12 09-15-2010, 12:13 PM did they ever find her?
Apostapler 09-15-2010, 01:18 PM No, she is still listed as missing.

TracyLynnS 09-15-2010, 01:33 PM I think it's pretty interesting that she took that photo in a mirror reflection, long before the practice became popular with cell phone equipped teenagers on facebook.
TheCars1986 10-25-2010, 08:25 PM Everyone keeps saying that photo creeped them out, but I always thought it was more sad than creepy especially after Stack said something about her "looking out into a world she wanted to forget".
bell83 10-26-2010, 12:28 AM I agree, entirely. I don't see how it's creepy, but that's just me. I've always felt it was more sad than anything else...
alistaircrane 10-26-2010, 10:47 AM I don't think it's creepy or sad, but that's probably because I've been desensitized by the billions of similar Facebook and Myspace photos.

Yeah Patricia could have been the originator of that stupid duck face that girls always make in their profile pictures. ;)

I wonder if Stanley Kubrick was the original duck face facebooker. lol
While looking into something totally unrelated, I discovered that he was a magazine photographer before he was a movie director. He took this self portrait in the late 1940s.
As soon as I saw it, I thought of Patricia Meehan and wondered if she thought up the mirror photo pose herself or had run across this photo or something similar.
Honestly, when I was young, my friends and I were always snapping photos of each other, but it never occurred to us to use the mirror. Now you can't go anywhere on the internet without seeing the reflection of someone's dirty shower curtain in their profile pics. :p
