View Full Version : MrIggles, if the spread was 9 points, do you think it would have
TVFactFan 11-26-2007, 01:55 AM been a typical Pats Blowout? I think all that 24 point spread pissed off the Eagles and they wanted to show they were not going to get BLOWN OUT.
The Eagles played great though, scared the sh*T out of me, I defintely didn't want the Eagles to beat another 10-0 team like they did on 11/25/90 at the Vet
LOL

I think the eagles would have played the same no matter what, they had a great plan & if it wasn't for a play her or there they would have won. In all my years as an eagle fan I have never been prouder.
Ahh I remember that game against the giants at the vet. My first ever game @ the vet!!!!!!
mriggles 11-26-2007, 12:42 PM I do think the fact that they were 24 pt underdogs certainly helped with the motivation factor though

Well after last nights game I defintely don't want to hear anything about the Pats being the best team ever. That's a bunch a bullsh*T

IF, and I repeat IF, the Pats are the best team ever, ONE bad game, that ended in a win, wouldn't take that away. Great teams win the close games. Forget about the Patriots for a minute. What team do you think is the best ever? Now, did that team SHINE in every game?
Great teams crap out, mediocre teams beat champs, on and on. Any given Sunday, Solomon, you know that. The FACT remains, the Patriots have won 11 in a row. They struggled their asses off for the last win, but that doesn't diminish their other achievements.

The 1988 49ers.
Janice I can no longer view the Pats as a DOMINANT team because the Defense couldn't not stop a BACK UP QB. If Mcnabb was in there then I would not be saying all of this. They could not STOP AJ FEELEY, That's just not supposed to happened

The 1988 49ers played flawlessly throughout the entire season? How many games in a row did they win?
Things happen. Silly example, but I'm a great cook. Not an average cook, but I cook better than anyone I know. Anyone that's eaten my meals would attest to that. A couple of weeks ago, I cooked a meal, and everything went wrong. I was like a cross between Lucy Ricardo and Debra Barone. My point being that anything can go wrong, in every aspect of life.
The Eagles were on top of their game, and the Pats were way off their game. Bad combination. Could part of it be that they didn't know Feeley's moves that well? Who knows. One thing is certain. One struggling win does not negate the Pat's other achievements. If this happens again, I'll agree with you. Not based on one game, which they won. No way. You're jumping the gun.

I'm just saying they are NOT THE BEST TEAM EVER. They are still a good team. I just don't want to hear the best team ever crap because that was a VERY STRONG statement

I meant to say the 1989 49ers. They finished 17-2 and all their playoff games were blowouts including the SB

Are we in the playoffs now? How about their season? Did they shine every game, no missteps, just perfect all the way? No struggles, no close games? Don't make me Google Solomon, lol.

Who's been saying that? It's discussed, but we watched the sport's shows every night, and I never heard the Patriots declared the best team ever, by anyone who mattered anyway.

John Madden Said it
Janice 11-26-2007, 06:14 PM John Madden Said it
John Madden said that the Patriots are the best football team ever? If he said that, I'm jumping for joy, but I have my doubts. Got a link for that?

He said it in the booth when they were beating the bills on sunday night 42-7

That's a 'wait until my husband gets home' thing. It doesn't sound right, but I hope you're right. Maybe, "The Patriots are on their way to becoming the best....." or "They have the best offense ever..."

Also Randy Moss is a LOSER/B*tch
Wes Welker is a GRITTY/WINNER
Randy Moss is mentally weak and loses interests if he can't get OFF during the game. Eagles Defenders got to him and he just stopped trying to make plays

That's right, you got it. Moss just said the hell with this. I'm not going to even try to win. I'm sorry we didn't blow the Eagles out Solomon, but now you're just talking off the wall.

I just can't understand why Moss backs down when a Guy plays defense on him like a man.
I never been this mad over a Eagles Win-lol
Mr. Television 11-26-2007, 07:18 PM I know you're disappointed Solomon...you wanted a blowout. I wanted one too. I would have loved to see the Pats put 70 on the Eagles. lol Just because the Pats played a bad game doesn't mean they aren't a great team. Even that 1989 49er team lost 2 games. The Patriots might lose a game this year but if they win a SB does it really matter? Does it make their SB any less? Miami went undefeated and nobody puts them as the greatest team of all time. I think all this greatest talk is just for the media anyway. Nobody really knows which team is the greatest. The Patriots are the greatest team of this era that's for sure. I still consider the 92 Cowboys the best team and nobody's changing my mine. lol

I have to keep reminding myself that the Eagles loss because I been in a bad mood all day-lol I think its because they ca walk away from this game being the only team that controlled the Pats in their own Stadium and feel confident the rest of the season. Even if the score was 27-14 I would have been cool but not 31-28, I just thought the Pats were on a much higher level than the Eagles and on a bad day would still win by 15 instead of 35

If the Eagles won, I think you would have thrown yourself out the window, along with your egg rolls, lol.

I would have UNPLUGGED my phone for 2 weeks and ate lunch alone in my office with the door shut-lol
I would not have talked to anyone-lol

I just think Bill better do away with RUNNING UP the score the remainder of the season because they are going to look like wimps. Just go out and Win and that's it
