OH Nuts!

I HATE the fact that stores begin pushing the Xmas holiday earlier and earlier in the year. It's like nobody publically celebrates or acknowledges that there is a very meaningful and nice holiday a month before Xmas. To me, it's cheap crass commercialism, and I'm sick of it. I know its just a pie in the sky wish, but I wish more would remember HELLO there is a holiday before Xmas called Thanksgiving.
At 12:01 am Friday after Thanksgiving let the Xmas Season begin for zealot retailers --although to me it doesn't really feel like the beginning of the Xmas Season until the Monday after.
How to others feel about this?

One of my pet peeves is the word Xmas.
I'm not big on all the Christmas stuff before Thanksgiving either though. Making the season last as long as possible is awesome, but it's kind of disrespectful to the great Holiday of Thanksgiving.

It used to be you didn't see the malls decorated or advertising for Christmas until AFTER the American Thanksgiving, but this year it got really out of hand. I saw Christmas stuff starting to go up before Halloween even! Pretty soon it'll be at the beginning of August! ugh!
