I had to work Wednesday night - Thanksgiving morning, and that was hell on me. Woke up at 3:30pm (because of my work schedule) and didn't feel fully awake until after 8pm. :faint: So, yeah, I was trying not to fall facedown into my plate at dinner yesterday. I'm just very thankful that I'm not a cashier today.  Ireneparalegal 11-23-2007, 05:50 PM Hehe, thanks. :D You too! I would say rest up this weekend, but I can see you will have your hands full with your man!;) My daughter had to go to work at midnight and I had to pick her up at 7 this morning. I felt bad for her having been awake all day yesterday, eating Thanksgiving dinner and feeling so tired but still going to work. Crazy!!! PZelda 11-23-2007, 05:58 PM  Oh wow, I can imagine how it was for you. I felt bad for her having been awake all day yesterday, eating Thanksgiving dinner and feeling so tired but still going to work. Crazy!!! Well, I don't know about that yet. I'm sure we will, though. We both agreed we want to do a Stephen King movie night soon. :) I spent time with him last night - this morning (he left after 5am  ) and we watched a TON of House. I now understand why so many people love that show. I've been up since 3pm, and I actually feel well-rested for once. So I have plenty of time to chill at home, and I won't be feeling like hell at work tonight. Oh wow, your daughter is far stronger than I. I passed out for a little while after dinner last night. swedeace 11-24-2007, 01:28 PM * Friday: I went shopping for a vacuum cleaner with my mom. She was in dire need of one. I rested at home while it was snowing a bit (although, nothing stuck to the ground). I sulked over the Danish concert at intervals. Then, I worked the evening shift of Black Friday and didn't get out until nearly 3 a.m. (we were scheduled until 12 a.m.). * Saturday: Kicking back in the morning and gonna put together more of my birthday party invitations that I am going to mail today. I gotta head to the bank and open up my savings account to place my JCPenney checks in that account. I am keeping that money seperate from my fulltime job's checks. I then work for five hours this evening until closing time. I need to talk with the scheduling boss today to see if I can change my Sunday schedule to a "mid-shift schedule." Because of extended Christmas hours, I can't work until closing time on Sundays because I get up really early on Monday mornings for Step Aerobics/work at my fulltime job. I already told him this in the beginning, but he's forgotten. * Sunday: I work, but I am not yet certain about the hours. I hope they'll be either opening hours or mid-shift hours. If it's either/or, then I will have my Sunday evenings off. Woohoo!! I am also aiming to have the Sunday evenings off so that I can attend my fulltime job's outside-of-work end-of-term celebration/holiday party at one of our instructor's owned bars downtown. We're having a potluck on the 2nd of December, and I want to attend it. Wish me luck that I can openings or mid-shifts at JCPenney, please! Brieannas21 11-24-2007, 01:47 PM I'm working all weekend, today I have to go in for a meeting and then stay to actually do some work. Tomorrow I have to drive to Houston for a meeting and then drive all the way back. AB 11-24-2007, 08:18 PM I put up my 2 table top Christmas Trees. My back hurts from staying hunched over in the attic trying to find the right boxes that had the decorations in them. I talked Hubby in to going to pick up a pizza, so I don't have to cook. OH Nuts! 11-24-2007, 08:22 PM Happy Friday Everybody! Not much going on here. Sunday, I start a job working for Mayor Michael Bloomberg's radio station. I am excited and nervous. The extra money should help out during the holidays. What great news! Congratulations! I'm sure it'll be very exciting. Most people are nervous their first day on a new job. On my current job I was extremeley nervous my first day--I had been in my last job 10 1/2 yrs. I think being nervous means often belies wanting to make a good impression and be an exemplary performer. Nighthawk76 11-25-2007, 12:18 AM I finished reading the Clapton autobiography this morning and then began a biography on Benjamin Franklin. This afternoon I watched Rosemary's Baby and listened to a couple of Eric Clapton CDs. Tomorrow morning I'll be going to church and in the afternoon I'll watch The Facts of Life and One Day At A Time. Janice 11-25-2007, 01:43 AM My husband and I are moving back to our condo in January. We went there today, and spent three hours cleaning. We ordered take-out while we were there. On the way home, we stopped at Circuit City and bought a new computer. Got a great deal on a Compaq. Thanks for the suggestion, Irene! I felt good doing the work, but I'm feeling it bad now in my upper back. Tomorrow will probably be worse. Still, it felt good to get so much accomplished. I hate moving. swedeace 11-25-2007, 03:21 AM This afternoon I watched Rosemary's Baby and Ohhh....I recently saw this movie for the very first time. A co-worker loaned me some of her horror movies that I am trying to catch up on watching for a group project in my Pop Culture class. Our group selected horror films, and I haven't watched a lot of the horror films. Hmmmm...this is quite a satanic movie, but it's such a class. I passed out for a little while after dinner last night. Well, I was right. Been spending a lot of time with him so far this weekend. But we haven't done a SK movie night yet... it's been a House marathon, as my roomie has one of the season sets on DVD. I finished reading the Clapton autobiography this morning and then began a biography on Benjamin Franklin. This afternoon I watched Rosemary's Baby and listened to a couple of Eric Clapton CDs. Tomorrow morning I'll be going to church and in the afternoon I'll watch The Facts of Life and One Day At A Time. Ohhh, Rosemary's Baby. Saw that earlier this past summer with the aforementioned friend. I have to say... Weird. Very weird movie. I liked it, though. But holy crap... That was one TWISTED movie. Our group selected horror films, and I haven't watched a lot of the horror films. Hmmmm...this is quite a satanic movie, but it's such a class. Though it isn't my favorite horror movie, Rosemary's Baby is without a doubt the one that most scares me...especially if I watch it at night. Even though I've seen it probably a dozen times, there are scenes in that movie that make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. The final scene in the Casavets apartment is truly terrifying. Nighthawk76 11-25-2007, 07:28 PM Ohhh, Rosemary's Baby. Saw that earlier this past summer with the aforementioned friend. I have to say... Weird. Very weird movie. I liked it, though. But holy crap... That was one TWISTED movie. It sure still packs quite a punch for a movie that will be 40 years old next year. I hope it works well for you. Be careful Janice. I am sure the pain will get worse for you. That always happens to me. I overwork myself and the next day...BOOM! It hits you. But like you, I feel great when I get things accomplished. There is nothing like getting a task done and out of the way. |
