Mary or Rhoda.

Phyllis would had worked my nerves.

Georgette could be handled in small doses but I rather deal with her over Phyllis and Sue Ann.

Sue Ann would be unfaithful.

I remember a classic line Georgia Engel had on Coach, playing Mrs. Burleigh - "Pardon me for yelling!" - and of course she spoke in that soft baby voice the whole time.

Mary! She was the best looking on the show ;) I think she had the best personality. Rhoda with that accent no no no it would get annoying after a while and Phylis is just Phylis:eek:

OH Nuts!

Plus, by marrying her you get to have an Aunt Rhoda :-)

They were all great characters, but as for marriage material:
MARY all the way; I had such a crush on her in my teen years (yes, I did realize she was a TV character). She had it all, fantastic hair, bright eyes, huge smile, great bod, long legs, and I liked her personality - pleasant to one and all, but she also didn't suffer fools, or feebs as it were.
RHODA was cute, but while she was loyal she was too intense/man-hungry for me.
PHYLLIS I actually thought was kind of hot, but while she could be bright she could turn around and be flighty to the point of being a wack job
SUE ANN was 10 times as man-obsessed as Rhoda, so she was not a legitimate option
GEORGETTE was sweet but as somebody else pointed out, the voice was an issue; she was too soft-spoken.

Mary was smoking hot on the Dick Van Dyke show, but something happened to her between that show and her show (alcohol, diabetes?). Mary looked 10 years older than she was, and those ugly early 70's clothes didn't help.

I have always liked Valarie Harper and thought she was a nice looking woman. Rhoda seemed the type that one could take out and then take home.

Georgia Engel was actually a very beautiful woman, but the character Georgette didn't really put out any sexual vibes because the character acted like a naive ten year old child. (Note Ms. Engel was never married and her sister was a Miss America contestant). I ahve tried in the past to find some photos of Miss Engel as a young actress outside of the "Georgette mode".

I never really watched TDVDS, but Mary was all right and still pretty to me on MTM. Of course no one could top my Rhoda :-)

Agree about Georgette...and I am one who doesn't always mind "baby" voices (like Marilyn Monroe's). Think she used the same voice on Jennifer Slept Here (short-lived 80s sitcom)...does Engel really talk like that or does she use it for characters?
