I'd actually love for NBC to show the best headlines from 1998 or so - just so I can hear all the President Clinton/Monica Lewinsky jokes. ;) Buffyboy323 11-27-2007, 12:33 AM www.interbridge.com/lineups.html For next week LOL 1992? THATS how desperate they are? I don't watch late night talk shows much, but I think this is a neat idea. I wonder what all the stars were promoting? I can't remember the years of all their movies, but Tom Hanks still had the curly hair - perhaps "Turner & Hooch?" Jennifer Aniston could be on for "Picture Perfect," or "Office Space," or even simply "Friends." Matt Damon for "All The Pretty Horses," "The Legend of Bagger Vance" or maybe "Finding Forrester." It should be interesting to look back on these. Ireneparalegal 11-27-2007, 12:37 AM I don't watch late night talk shows much, but I think this is a neat idea. I'd love it if CBS would follow suit and do the same thing with Letterman. TVFactFan 11-27-2007, 03:28 PM Very Creative Thinking by NBC Brent88 11-27-2007, 03:54 PM OMG...:brent Here is the Best of Jay Leno's Headlines...Mikado may hate the 3rd mention, something abt NO CANADIANS PLEASE... The Martin Luther King reference had me  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7Zi2Bx2kXQ :brent OMG... catlover79 11-28-2007, 01:25 AM Mention of then-current couples not married anymore #2 - Roseanne and Tom Arnold!! Ireneparalegal 11-29-2007, 12:49 AM Hmmmmm, let me think... Hey, any chance on seeing any "dead" celebs? friendsfan77 11-29-2007, 01:44 AM I'm not much of a Leno fan but the thought of seeing old episodes is a lot of fun. I think Thursday is the night for Jennifer Aniston's 1995 appearance. I want to see if she was still sporting "the Rachel". lol Ireneparalegal 11-29-2007, 01:53 AM I noticed watching these retro episodes that Jay's voice seems "higher" as it was always back then. Nowadays, his voice seems deeper. Also, he wore colorful suits back then whereas now he stays with the darker colors, which look better. catlover79 11-29-2007, 10:51 AM Last night there was 0 mentions of former couples. Maybe there will be some tonight. Buffyboy323 11-29-2007, 06:54 PM Last night there was 0 mentions of former couples. Maybe there will be some tonight. I was going to post that. It was so awesome seeing Jennifer last night! Ireneparalegal 11-30-2007, 07:09 PM Alright, what is the retro info for tonight? catlover79 12-01-2007, 12:01 PM The guests were Johnny Depp (who was plugging Don Juan DeMarco), David Hasselhoff and a comic named George Wallace. Johnny Depp looked so boyish! Wow! The episode aired April 13, 1995. Did anyone see the "Jefferson in Paris" bit? It was Sherman Hemsley strutting around going, "Bonjour, Weezy!" against an Eiffel Tower backdrop. :brent Hilarious!! I also liked the sketch of Jay trying to find Kevin a dog. Again, 0 references to former couples. Bummer! catlover79 12-01-2007, 10:11 PM The first person I thought of when I saw the Jeffersons sketch was Solomon. Did you see it, Sol?? HugeTVFan 12-01-2007, 10:37 PM The monologue I didn't think was that good. catlover79 12-01-2007, 10:41 PM The monologue I didn't think was that good. It was kind of on the blah side except for Sherman Hemsley's bit. HugeTVFan 12-01-2007, 11:44 PM I actually missed Sherman's bit, but it looked hilarious. catlover79 12-02-2007, 01:38 AM I actually missed Sherman's bit, but it looked hilarious. It was! Then again, all Sherman Hemsley has to do is strut and I laugh out loud. Zebra 3 12-03-2007, 07:54 PM What he said... I wish they'd air some Johnny Carson reruns. lol JulieSomoski 12-04-2007, 06:02 PM The first person I thought of when I saw the Jeffersons sketch was Solomon. Did you see it, Sol?? I saw it, and I had to laugh at it. It was hilarious seeing Sherman call "Weezy!" once again-LOL catlover79 12-05-2007, 01:06 AM Tonight's rerun: 11/24/1994. 1 reference to a former (though never married) couple: David Copperfield and Claudia Schiffer. I thought it was great to see the Thanksgiving Tonight Show Parade, which was an annual bit until a few years ago. That was a bit I always looked forward to seeing every year. |
