with the personal and what was supposed to be a private struggle that Marie is currently facing? Her 16 year old son was admitted into rehab last week for an "undisclosed" reason, the same week her father passed away. Larry asked Marie abt her son being in rehab and the look on her face was pure shock. She even asked him how he found out and he responded, "I was told." I felt bad for Marie, she did respond to the question. I felt that was such a blow to her and her family.

I didn't see it but I heard about it. That's awful. I've always liked Marie. Larry is known for throwing softball questions at guests so why did he change now? I heard it had something to do with the Osmonds appearing on Oprah earlier and snubbing him.

I wonder how Larry is "mentally" nowadays. First he called Ringo Starr "George Harrison" then that Jerry Seinfeld fiasco and now this? What next?

I found this over at IMDB.

Osmond Apologizes to King
Donny Osmond has apologized to TV talk show host Larry King after criticizing him for revealing live on air that his sister Marie Osmond's son, Michael, was in rehab. King blurted out the news during his show on November 14, leaving Marie struggling to fight back tears as her brother helped comfort her. Marie told King, "My son was put into a rehab... My son is amazing... He is the most amazing kid." At the time, Donny insisted King's line of questioning which led to the revelation was unfair - but he has now retracted his comments after learning the story was about to be broken by the tabloids. He says, "I was very upset about it. I thought it was very unfair for Larry King to throw that question at Marie the way he did. (But) I have to back up and apologize publicly to Larry King because I came out and said some things against him. In hindsight, Larry King did Marie a favor. She was able to make a statement about the situation. ... And so she's grateful to Larry." Marie, who has eight children, has not disclosed where 16-year-old Michael is being treated or the nature of his problem.

*Back to Me*
I heard this on the radio this morning, but didn't want to say anything because I had sort of forgotten all that was said (it was 6:45am, I was sleepy). Luckily I found the story at IMDB. :)

The question came out of the blue. I don't blame Donny for protecting his sister. When it comes to invasion of privacy I have strong emotions on that subject due to my illness last year when my former employer, whom I was employed with at the time before being laid off, divulged some information to my sister that should not be divulvged. It was a violation of the law and of HIPPA. We nearly considered a lawsuit over this and reporting to the company's headquarters where the superviser coudl had lost their job over this. With the law of protecting of privacy a person divulging information can cost them their job.

I was pretty upset and lost a little respect for Larry King when I heard about and later saw the clip of this. That was totally uncool and uncalled for.
