My boyfriend just told me a half hour ago our laptops finally came in the mail probley UPS Truck i'll be using that out later on today when i go there. and i'll make sure ill post pics up on my laptop thread.. I am so excited..:)

Getting ready to leave Sunday night for San Diego. We are headed there to take our son to Sea World for his birthday. He loves whales A LOT!!! He has books on whales, orcas, etc. and he can tell you the difference between a whale and an Orca. He has a great memory. We will spend the whole day at Sea World on Monday and come back home on Tuesday.

I am going to do my Christmas shopping tomorrow!! I want to get it all done in one fell swoop, so I'll be going to and fro all day long, and then I'll go right to church when I'm done. Sunday I'm going to stay home and start writing out my Christmas cards. I'll be watching Thanksgiving/Christmas episodes of my TV shows on DVD while I'm doing so!! :cool:

Well... This is my first weekend with a job, finally. I'm working tonight (10pm - 6am) and Sunday night (9pm - 5am)... I've got Saturday off. I dunno what'll go down that day... I need to do laundry and food shop. But that's it.

I have a whole week off so I'm going to my grandparents house for thanksgiving.

I'm helping my sister decorate her living room tomorrow, that should be fun! :lol:

I know I will be working all weekend and I got two research papers due soon so I know what I will be up to the next few days.

Nothing much going on this weekend. Our town has it's annual Christmas parade tomorrow...a lot of parades are going on in the area tomorrow so I'll probably go to some of them.

This weekend my husband and I are going out of town to celebrate out wedding anniversary since we didn't get to do anything last month (our actual anniversary). So tomorrow afternoon we're leaving for some R&R.

im probably not doing anything in paticular, which i dont really mind. marching band season ended last weekend and winter drumline and jazz band start again in like 2 weeks so i need a few weekends to relax.

I'm going to have a quiet weekend. Going to go into the office tomorrow and clean my cube. It's a pig sty. But if I tried to keep it tidy I'd be there til midnight. Sunday, cleaning for the upcoming holiday. And a sitcom ep or two.

Not bad. Takes some getting used to but I'm liking it okay. I met a few cool people so that's nice.

Ha, today was fun too actually. It snowed for the first time this season so we were all pumped and my roommate and a couple other friends went out and had a snowball fight at like 12am and then attempted to sled with garbage bags. It was good times...we were soaked so we're all blow drying our hair and stuff at the same time and blew a fuse in my room so we're sitting here at almost 2 in the morning waiting for a guy to come and fix it lmao...yia. college.

Wow this has been a really wierd and unusual week but its been a pretty good one but glad it's the weekend.
Friday hanged around with some friends had some interesting conversations and grabbed a bite to eat. Well today its saturday and my parents aren't gonna be home so I'm really seriously thinking of having a house party! can't wait till next week it's gonna be thanksgiving vacition!

I watched Rear Window this afternoon and have also been reading Eric Clapton's autobiography. Tomorrow morning I'll be going to church.

I mentioned elsewhere that one of our cats, Lucky, has been limping around the last couple of days. She is a very agile cat - always hopping up and down someplace. My dad and I took her to the vet this morning and found out that she fractured two bones in her paw. So they had to put her front left leg in a splint and cast. :( Poor thing. One of our other cats hissed at her, too!

Jasmine always hisses at the other cats when they come home from the vet. We think she hisses because she smells vet. :lol: Lucky is not a happy (or comfortable) camper right now. She's not her usual self, but hopefully she will be feeling more and more like herself again soon.

I love that movie, Mike. One of Hitchcock's best. I'm guessing Clapton's book is interesting. He's led quite a life, overcoming his drug issues that messy saga with Patti Boyd. Does he talk about the tragedy of losing his son, Connor? I'll never forget how bad I felt when I first heard that. I actually felt physically sick.

^ I saw an interview on 20/20 about that a year or two ago. Connor's mother, Lori, was being interviewed for the first time about the tragedy. Did anyone else see it?

Oh, poor Lucky. Poor little baby. That must have been painful. I hope she recovers quicky. I'm sure that trip the vets set you back a pretty penny. All well spent, of course. It's just that vet bills are so expensive. I spent at least 5 grand on our late cat, the last three years of his life. I would have taken a mortgage out on my home though. They really are a member of our family.

Rear Window is one of my favorite Hitchcock movies too. I would say it is my fourth favorite after Vertigo, North By Northwest and The 39-Steps. The set in Rear Window is amazing. It actually looks like a real apartment complex.

The book has been really good so far. I haven't gotten to the terrible tragedy of his son's death though. I'm in about 1971 now when Eric is working with Derek and the Dominos on the Layla album.

While Friday and most of Saturday was good, Saturday night was horrible. My friends who go to different colleges came up to visit my roommate and I and we had fun for most of the day, shopping and whatnot...but then since they were here they all wanted to go to a party. I'm not a partyer...at all. I don't drink or do drugs, I can't stand drunk or high people, and I have panic attacks. Not a good candidate for that crap. However, I decided to go because I felt bad and they wanted to and they were guests so whatever. We get there, it's so God damned packed there's no room to move. I'm already exhausted because I had woken up early to get ready for my friends to come so I'm half dead upon arriving. Even they all agree it's crap, considering you can't move. My friends thought they needed beer if they paid to get in so it took awhile for them to accomplish that, while I'm standing there holding on to my other friend for dear life telling myself how much I hate college kids and hope they all die. We decide to call the taxi to get the frik out but obviously that takes awhile so we're standing there and these drunk *******s hit on me...being already tired and under the circumstances I just started crying because I needed to get the hell out and my friends felt horrible and apologized profusely. I told them never freaking again. It's not for me and I'm not subjecting myself to that crap. So whatever we got back fine but I'm pissed I forced myself to go in the first place.

Today was good, though. My friend was going home and I decided to go along for dinner because I'm only 45 minutes away from home. It was nice to see her and her parents and a few other friends, one of whom I'm crazy about. That's another story. Now I just want to go back home so I can see him and everyone else again. two more days.

I totally agree with both of you. I'm lucky that most of my friends (ages 20-23; I'm 20) are the same way. Of course there's always that one group of people who think they're 'something special' when drunk.. and that's about the same time I leave. :mad:
