After checking one of my tapes from today, I saw a promo which features that SOAPnet will start having "Sunday Night Movies" beginning December 2. They cannot be serious. Sunday night is the perfect opportunity to have a decent timeslot for a DOOL weekly marathon instead of having it in the freaking overnight, yet they decide to start airing something else, not only something else -- but something else that does not even closely fit the purpose of the channel?!?!

Just when I started giving them a little bit more credit recently despite crappy schedule changes being made and bad decision making earlier this year, just as I start to like them a little bit more for putting Ryan's Hope and Port Charles back on weekdays, and airing the 1995 Marlena possession episodes of DOOL last month. ohno:

what good can come of this decision? only one thing can be good...if they put the DAYS (or whatever shows) marathon in overnight hours, that will give us viewers the reason to record the episodes while we sleep. then the next day, we can watch them and speed through all the commericials we likley would have sat through when it was on during primetime.
so who wins? certainly not the sponsors....just saves us time sitting in the chair.

Soapnet is turning into another "teen channel" with their young adult oriented soaps like One Tree Hill, etc.

They are moving DALLAS to the 4 a.m. slot after messing with it so many times this past year.

Soapnet has jumped the shark big time. They are doing what TVland is doing. I wonder if they share the same executives?

yeah, Designiing Women is bad enough, but the to add Just Shoot Me come january..that show hasn't been off prime time in three years yet has it?
no excuse for this ignorance. just like with Nicklodean adding their new stuff..what is it, george lopez, i think. idiots can see these shows can't even stay on in prime time for more than three seasons (and each season has fewer episodes every year it seems...).

George Lopez was on for six seasons.

GL and Home Improvement have no business being on N@N anyways, regardless of the seasons they did.

ok thanks.
wasn't george lopez on ABC? if so, that's likey why i was unsure how long it ran. as far as ABC and me goes, General Hospital is about it. so i am not so up on that network these recent years.. but still...the purpose of TVLand was put on the air was to show the shows that were long forgotten. i didn't like it a couple years back when they started sharing shows with Nick @ Nite..i love the Cosby show, but it doesn't belong on TVLand..not now. that type of programming was the beginning of the old shows leaving TVLand.
now SOPANet is doing it.
SOAPNet is the kind of channel that should be airring DAYS, GH, Y&R, and countles others from the first episode (or first that can be found) and run through the series. and we know they exist!!
i can understand the use of SOPANet as a vehicle to run the "todays" episodes...but they don't need to be airred 3 times a day and then a 4th time during the weekend. and the home made SOAP shows they create....they need to quit wasting money producing them as well and start from episode 1 of stuff and use all that rerun time over night and the next day and the filler timeslots with the current crap that's all on DVD..(current as in 90210 and the like til recent) and start with the old stuff.
