Hey guys,

i was just thinking back over all the "classic" tv shows that were made into big budget movies. Movies like the Honeymooners, Bewitched,...and others im sure. But the one thing that was wrong with them was they werent that good. Why. Because they werent made by the fans. Lets say that we were given a unlimited budget. What would your lucy movie be like? I would love to see the episodes in Florida expand a little bit more, or what about LUCY Goes To Broadway(which nothing is really going to broadway right now due to the strike lol) I heard that this was a concept for TLDCH? Just imagine the trouble she and the gang could get into!

If we had control over a Lucy movie, I think I would like to expand more on the Hollywood episodes. :lol: Those have some of my fave episodes.

Lucy goes to Broadway was supposed to be a special but they should have just FILMED her show, WILDCAT. As for the movie, both actresses doing her in the two tv movies were great but i cringed every time they attempted one of her classic routines, nobody can duplicate Lucy's magic touch. There was talk a few years ago about Julia Roberts wanting to portray Lucy in a big screen film. The script would have to be top notch, nobody wants to see another fiasco like The Beverly Hillbillies movie, LOL! Maybe they should ask the actress who imitates her in Jamestown, she's excellent.

No, i think that's all forgotten now, it was just something that was talked about years ago. I think Julia would have been great as Lucy. And a REAL movie would have been better done than those two tv movies.
