1,My Heart Will Go On
2,Because You Love Me
3A New Day
4Power Of Love
5.I Drove All Night/Love Can Move Mountains
6.I'm Your Lady
7.I'm Your Angel
8.All By My Self
9.That's The Way It Is
10.It's All Coming Back To Me Now( this song kind of reminds me of Meatloaf'sI Would Do Anything For Love,But,i won't Do That.)
Zoneboy 11-12-2007, 10:05 PM Sorry, I can't think of a single song that I like by her. To be honest with you, The sound of her annoying voice is enough to make me wanna scream especially when she's singing My Heart Will Go On. Of all the female singers to emerge from Canada over the years, She's definitely the most overrated of the bunch. Give me Sarah MacLachlan or Alanis Morissette any day.
catlover79 11-13-2007, 01:38 AM I'm not big on Celine myself but I do like these songs:
In no particular order:
Where Does My Heart Beat Now
Think Twice
Misled
Love Can Move Mountains
That's the Way It Is
Immortality
It's All Coming Back To Me Now
snow, regarding It's All Coming Back To Me Now, it was written and produced by Jim Steinman, who also wrote I Would Do Anything For Love by Meatloaf. Hence the similarities. :D

Make that second most overrated, I forgot about Shania Twain.

SBTB Geek 11-19-2007, 06:03 PM I agree about Celine Dion being overrated. It especially bugs me when she's associated with fellow "divas" like Mariah or Whitney. The latter two actually records and albums that are noteworthy and still relevant to this day! What is Celine known for? Marrying an old guy, being French-Canadian, and singing that Titanic song?!
Totally overrated.
Dean Winchester 11-19-2007, 07:17 PM I don't think Celine is all that bad, she just takes a lot of mediocre material. I think she hit her apex in the late 90's because the material she was given (considering Celine doesn't write or produce, she just takes whatever songs are given to her) was ace, but once she came back from retirement, it's been all downhill from there. She had a few good songs on A New Day Has Come and One Heart (haven't heard Taking Chances yet) but I think it's pretty safe to say she's a one trick pony and her glory days are long behind her.
Taking Chances looks like it's not going to be performing very hotly either, #4 with less than 200,000 is unacceptable for a "diva" in Celine's league, even Madonna's American Life and Janet's 20 Y.O. had better opening weeks.
SBTB Geek 11-19-2007, 09:06 PM Well, you have to consider that the CD industry is at a much different position than it was even a year ago.
Dean Winchester 11-19-2007, 09:58 PM that is true, but even Britney's cd is being classified a flop and she did nothing to promote it and it opened with almost 300,000. Releasing an album in mid-November and even going on Oprah and still opening with 195,000 is extremely dismal considering Celine used to open with double the sales without the aid of Oprah (much like a lot of people think Oprah helped 20 Y.O.'s first week)
Dean Winchester 11-25-2007, 04:43 PM I'm skimming through Taking Chances (I downloaded it, new Celine isn't worth buying, I was ripped off with her last two albums) and it's laughable. I remember a number of years back when Mariah started diving headon into hip hop saying that Celine should go rock next since that's as equally preposterous... sadly Celine listened. She's trying to be a rock goddess on this album and it's embarassingly bad. Stick to the adult contemporary ballads. She tried dance-pop on "One Heart" and that was awful, and now she's trying rock and it's equally rancid.
