tv star collector 12-23-2007, 08:42 AM I kind of liked the TV version of the popular CD-Rom game YOU DON'T KNOW
JACK, hosted by Paul Reubens. It was a campy show, so bad that it was
good, if you know what I mean.

glickmam 07-15-2009, 11:12 PM Supermarket Sweep
I like that show, too, but you can't really consider it a short-lived show, unless you're talking about the ABC version which ran for only two years and thus was short-lived. The Lifetime/PAX version, however, ran for eight years and thus had a long and fruitful run.
JamesG 07-15-2009, 11:25 PM Secrets of the Cryptkeeper's Haunted House (1996-1997)
Scoobiedoo30 07-15-2009, 11:30 PM Double Dare 1976-1977

Schmoopie 07-16-2009, 03:17 AM OMG, I LOVED "Press Your Luck"! I watched it every day! When I was living in Dallas, they actually had a spot where they were giving away a trip to Dallas! I thought that was so weird because usually gameshows gave away trips to New York or California. I told my mom about it and she said "Well, then they would probably just give you your flight home for free! We just got digital cable so I'm going to see if we have GSN, because I know that "Press Your Luck" is shown occasionally!

Don't bother. PYL was taken off GSN's schedule in March 2009.
Lakeboy 07-16-2009, 10:43 PM I loved Body Language. I thought it was a very entertaining and funny show. I also liked Greed.
icecream 07-22-2009, 05:39 PM Grand Slam is my all time favorite game show. Sadly it was cancelled after one 8 episode season.
Scoobiedoo30 07-22-2009, 08:55 PM What is Grand Slam.
icecream 07-22-2009, 09:32 PM Grand Slam was a 16 player tournament of game show champions that aired on GSN in 2007. There were three rounds with an extra one added in the championship match. Some of the players included Ken Jennings (Jeopardy!), Ogi Ogas (Millionaire), Michelle Kitt (Weakest Link), and Brad Rutter (Jeopardy!). Dennis Miller and Amanda Byrum were the announcers and Pat Kiernan was the unseen questioner.
dakert 07-23-2009, 01:05 PM Anyone else remember "Make Me Laugh" Comedians had to make the contestant(s) laugh in a short period of time and the players got so much money if they didnt laugh.
Rezny@gmail.com 02-04-2011, 11:51 PM A few of my favorite short-lived game shows:1)The 2007 syndicated game "Temptation",which I still remember to this date(that one was REALLY promising)2)The 1980 regrettably short-lived NBC version of "Chain Reaction"(one of the late Bill Cullen's last-and,after they changed the format in the bonus game-best),a Los Angeles based game 3)The ORIGINAL version of "Now You See It"(1974-1975,hosted by the late Jack Narz-CBS)4-"Wordplay"(1986-1987/NBC)hosted by Tom Kennedy,a promising, and much better updated version of NBC's 1965 short-lived game show "Call My Bluff". 5)The NBC version of "Jackpot",and 6)ABC's 1974-1975 short-lived game show "The Big Showdown".
KurtfromPitts 02-09-2011, 12:39 PM The Big Showdown and Blankety Blanks [ABC, 1975]. The latter was funny.
bmasters9 02-10-2011, 05:29 AM I saw from YouTube one episode of "Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak," the very short-lived ABC game from 1986. The gameplay was pretty good (both front game and bonus game), but I wish that the show had lasted longer.

Yes I remember watching that show. One of the comedians they had on was a then very young and unknown Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias who I thought was very funny. Of course now he's a well known and popular celebrity whose done several standup comedy TV specials and movies.

Edward216 06-16-2018, 01:54 AM Rock and Roll Jeopardy.
There was a TV game show version of the board game Monopoly on TV I want to say around 1989 or 1990 that I really liked that only lasted like 9 or 10 episodes (I think it was on only weekly). The host was a man named Michael and I can't remember his last name right now. I guess he'd been a Jeopardy contestant/champ in the late 80s but I don't remember him being on there but it's been a long time. I've never seen him on TV again since Monopoly was cancelled either. But I thought he was a good host.
