Well, you're close. Her name is Marion Lorne.
Edward216 10-22-2017, 06:13 PM Jerry Stiller. On Seinfeld as George Costanza's dad, I'm sorry I can't remember his character's name right now. And on The King Of Queens as Carrie Heffernan's father Arthur Spooner.

What about Jed Clampett and Barnaby Jones? Two old country coots who are a lot smarter and wiser than anyone else gives them credit for.

Thanks catsrule. I knew I'd know it if somebody else posted it. But when I was commenting last night I just couldn't think of it. Some days it's heck getting older LOL. I really hate it because I'm good at remembering names and faces. Oh well happens to all of us sometimes.

Alex Cooper 10-23-2017, 09:55 PM Awesome thread idea!
My thoughts:
I agree that Lucille Ball definitely played the same character on I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, and Here's Lucy; likewise, Vivian Vance reprised her Ethel role as Viv, as did Gale Gordon for Mr. Mooney/Mr. Carter.
Bea Arthur was basically the same on Maude and Golden Girls.
Julia Duffy was expected to resurrect Stephanie from Newhart on Designing Women; I blame the failure less on her than on the forced-nature of a replacement Delta Burke.
Ron Howard as Richie Cunningham was basically Opie as a teenager and young adult.
Don Knotts, too; Mr. Furley and Barney Fife....separated at birth.
Alex Cooper 10-23-2017, 10:06 PM Danny DeVito: Louie on Taxi and Frank on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Yong Fang 10-30-2017, 02:08 AM Bea Arthur was basically the same on Maude and Golden Girls.
Disagree. Maude was much more masculine, physically stronger, more bossy and dumber than Dorothy. Dorothy and Maude were similar in that they were both very outspoken people.
Don Knotts, too; Mr. Furley and Barney Fife....separated at birth.
Not really. Barney Fife never had a problem with female company and relationships. He had Thelma Lou, Juanita from the diner and went out with the better looking "Fun Girl" (the giggly one not the low voiced one). Furley couldnt get a woman to run him over with her car.
