When Your watching TV shows on DVD and the show is coming up on a commercial break, do you ever start to reach for the remote to fast forward or turn the channel before you realize that it's a DVD WITHOUT commercials?

I've done that a few times with "Wings" recently, lol.

No, I do not. I usually just let it play all the way through. I know that television discs don't have commercials. I may use the remote to adjust volume or captioning, etc., but I do not attempt to fast-forward my television discs with it. Why do you ask?

I've done that, lol. I think it's just force of habit. Like I'm forgetting I'm watching a DVD and think I'm watching TV.

After 25 years of watching television with comercial breaks inside of shows, I just sometimes find myself reaching for the remote out of habit. Like in the episode of "I Love Lucy" after the Ricardos moved to the country and Fred (in New York City) starts to go upstairs to see them, then realizes they don't live there anymore and goes back to his chair.

I'm not asking if people think that DVDs have commercials in the episodes.

Sometimes I do, but not often. And another thing -- even though I know the Golden Girls DVDs have the real credits intact, sometimes I find myself not expecting to see them and am expecting the squeeze credits as if I were watching a Lifetime rerun. lol

If it's a DVD of an old show, I always watch the commercials, as they're usually very nostalgic & cool. Especially on The Adv. of O & H eps.

I try to fastforward through the commercials sometimes too. I got so used to doing it with my tapes that sometimes I forget, LOL.

Yeah, I agree, the original commercials on the other hand are a lot of fun.

I watch one episode of a DVD A Night
