Now that Newhart Season One is coming out, doesn't it make sense that Fox would ALSO continue THE BOB NEWHART SHOW on that same date (Feb. 26) with the season five release?

I don't weather they will give the Bob Newhart show another chance or not, they only have 2 seasons to go, and there are some classic episodes in those last two seasons, so they should eventully give it another shot, it is not much to go.

But I don't think they will release season sets of Bob Newhart show and Newhart on the same dates. It is essentional the same audience, it would be stupid to compete with themselfs.

It's about time they released Newhart on DVD!!! Let's hope Fox will also finish out BNS while they're at it.

well, I hope that if they sell enough copies of Newhart they will reconsider and continue releasing the last 2 seasons of the Bob Newhart show

I hope the Newhart release is the original network version, and not the syndiation version with the cuts, like the first season of the Cosby show.

If it is the original version (which I expect it to be), than one episode I am looking foward to seeing is Sprained Dreams, they cut a whole scene for syndication. I have watched that episodes in reruns, the closing credits list a handful of guest stars you never see.

Fox is pretty good with releasing uncut episodes (unless there are music problems (ie WKRP)).
