I do the same thing. One day I saw smoke and it was over my house and I said I hope the house is not on fire. It wasn't. Someone started a fire in the woods in the next town.

It's not weird and you're not the only one who does it. What I want to know is why is it always the iron we question and not the coffeepot, the stove, the desk lamp, or any of the hundreds of other things we leave plugged in all the time :lol:
