View Full Version : When was your last UNPLANNED PURCHASE?
TVFactFan 11-07-2007, 01:57 PM Unplanned purchases is when something in your house breaks down or get broken or clothes that were damage. My CD fell on the floor this morning and cracked, my al jarreau cd and had to go spend a UNPLANNED $18.00 before i went to work.
Anyone else have a unplanned purchase this month?
Ireneparalegal 11-07-2007, 03:36 PM You already broke your new CD? Oy vey.
No unplanned purchases for me...YET! I need to keep my fingers crossed.
Mikado 11-07-2007, 03:42 PM Last week there was a leak under the bathroom sink.....this led to new plumbing, a new sink (with vanity) , floor and newly painted walls! @_@!!!!!
Courtnee 11-07-2007, 05:02 PM I had to buy lunch today because it turns out that i didn't have any lunch money in my account.
RoryGilmore 11-07-2007, 05:27 PM Lunch
I decided right when the bell rang that I was gonna go out to lunch instead of eat at school, and now I'm broke
PZelda 11-07-2007, 06:49 PM No unplanned purchases recently.
I did, however, have to buy a lot of needed items for the new place. That's where the dollar store comes into play - the essentials get expensive FAST.
Brieannas21 11-07-2007, 09:23 PM I had to get the tile in our entryway retiled because my 2 yr old took it upon herself to try to write on the floor with a red permanent marker. So that's where some money went to last weekend.

Yeah and by doing that I ran into a DUMB customer service girl at the counter-lol I told her I wanted to split the total of the CD's on two different Cards and she said I CAN"T DO THAT and I was like I did it in radio shack. Then she says-"I can your id? I was so close to saying-"You are clearly medication"

Wow, thats so familiar, i decided to "decorate" my parent's new wallpaper with a red crayon when I was 3 1/2 (One of my earliest memories!)

OHHHHHHHHHH NO. :faint: I'm sorry! But at least you can hold it over her head when she gets older. ;)
I did something like that when I was about six years old, but not to THAT degree. I thought a NES game that we had rented from the video store was ours to own, not for rent -- why I thought that, I don't know, because we rented video games from that same store at least 2x a week, plus my mom worked there for a while -- so I wrote our surname on the back of the cartridge in permanent marker (that was something my parents did on our games when I was a young kid). Oof boy, my mom was MAAAAAAD when she saw what I'd done! The guy at the video store had steam coming out of his ears too when he saw what I'd done to that game. My mom ended up having to buy that game from him, because he tried to get it off but couldn't. Oops. This was in about 1992 when that happened, so thankfully NES games weren't that expensive at the time.

:faint: :eek2: Oh my goodness!!!! KIDS!!!!! That reminds me of when I had carpet in my washroom. Not my idea, it was the previous owners... Well, when my son was two years old he somehow opened the liquid detergent bottle (the large one) and spilled the soap...:faint: ONE GIGANTIC MESS!!!!!!! We took out the carpet abt six months later and had it tiled.

Well I tried to clean it up with some nail polish remover that is 100% acetone, but that just made it the tile more porous and it turned from Red to HOT PINK.

I was just going to ask you if you had tried acetone but if the tile is porous as you say and not smooth, then I can see how that just made it worse. Wow!

dawsongirl 11-08-2007, 01:31 AM Some food. I'm always going to the grocery store and seeing something that looks good and buying it despite the fact that that was not what I came in for. Last I think was cinnamon ice cream. I was there to buy frozen potatoes and cheese.
Last unplanned household item was a furnace motor.
